❝ Getting over someone you love isn't easy and when someone comes into your life without your permission makes you question your life decisions, and realize something you never have before, maybe they're the one ❞

Sunwoo isn't sure if he can trust her, then again he's accompanying her.

He decides to be honest with her, though he would worry, knowing she's alone on a long journey ahead. He grabs her hand, sending the receptionist a look and a nod as a way of thanking him.

The hall is vacant, red carpet floor beneath, grey walls lit up by the dim lights, and silent, save for the rain and thunder. Arriving at the room, Sunwoo helps her inside, looking over his shoulder before stepping inside, closing the door.

Younghee's at the window, drawing the curtains aside, watching the rain fall against the sill, curious eyes spotting a frog.

"Hey, do you think if I kissed that frog, I would turn into one, and find my prince charming?" The young girl jokes.

"You're really enjoying this, aren't you?"

"I am. I ran away but that doesn't mean I'm afraid of commitment, I just . . . "

"I know. Your dream means so much to you, but so does love."

"Okay, wise one. What do you know?" Sunwoo laughs, feeling his cheeks redden from embarrassment. "Just someone," the boy drifts into a memory of the first day Areum spoke to him. She studied with him and then both of them went on coffee dates.

Their relationship turned into something more.

What happened?

He doesn't understand.

"Did she break up with you?" Younghee asks, tone gentle.

"She's marrying someone else and suddenly said she wants to get back with me."

Younghee's jaw drops and she hurries to him, "Did she message you?"

"Yeah, why?"

The former pilot met the runaway bride today, knowing she's optimistic for someone who missed their flight, caught themselves in a dangerous situation.

Though her eyes—coffee eyes complementing the messy brunette bun, loose strands framing her face, and her wide smile lifts his spirits up despite all of this chaos.

Just how can someone be this bubbly and ignite chaotic energy?

"Delete her number."

"What?"

"Delete her number. Blocking would be too cruel."

"How thoughtful of you," Sunwoo retorts.

"She doesn't deserve you. There's more to life than not getting over someone," Younghee finishes her rant with a soft smile, bright eyes softening, looking up at him.

Sunwoo's heart thumps loudly, taking his phone out from his pocket and tapping on Areum's message.

One.

Two.

Three

And just like that Sunwoo deletes Areum's number forever.
