The thumping in Younghee's heart slows, round coffee eyes meeting chocolate ones that move back to the man.

"What do you think you're doing?"

"Nothing, just offering her to stay at my place."

"She's with me. I'm responsible for her. You're responsible for the passengers to be on their flight on time, no more, no less. Got it?"

"She's a runaway bride. What do you expect?" Sunwoo tightens his grip, pushing him up against the wall, hand fisting his shirt.

"We serve our passengers with respect and kindness, not the other way around."

"Hey, it's okay. Please don't fight," Younghee calls out, "I was wrong."

Sunwoo looks at her, brow hitched up, then returns his gaze to the man.

"Okay, fine. I'm sorry."

"Apologize to my female passenger, not me," Suwnoo catches the anxious female's gaze, searching for approval.

Just what was she thinking?

Why didn't she scream out for help?

"Younghee, I'm sorry for hurting you," he apologizes. A pang of guilt hits him, leaving them two. He should have known better.

When Sunwoo turns around, his chocolate eyes take in the messy bun, glistening eyes, strands embracing Younghee's bare shoulders. He notices the lengthy white gown adorning her slim figure pooling at her feet.

Sunwoo believes she was wearing tennis shoes.

She could not have run fast in heels, unless . . . either way, she needs a different set of clothes and cannot stay here.

"Are you okay?"

"Shocked but yeah. . . are you okay?" She breathes out, slowly rising from the wall, approaching him.

She looks over him, concerned, and surprised by almost everything that occurred after she escaped to the airport.

"Okay? Does it look like I'm okay?"

"May I ask why?" Younghee asks gently. She follows his gaze where his vision is focusing on an airplane taxiing.

Runway turnoff and taxi lights illuminating the runway exit, engines loud. Sunwoo can hear it clearly. The classic sound of taking off, the airplane running, wheels elevating, disappearing.

"Life happened."

Younghee holds a laugh, smiling, reaching her arm out for a handshake.

"You were cool back there, by the way—"

"Sunwoo, like the sun and then woo?"

"Are you questioning your own name?"

Sunwoo gives her a look, saying, 'Are you kidding me?'

"Younghee," she beams.

Her arm drops, figuring Sunwoo won't accept the handshake. To her astonishment, he takes it."You're seriously energetic even after what happened?"

"I'm not letting that destroy my hopes and get in my way to achieve my dream. If it wasn't for you . . . I would not know what to do."

"I'm not sticking around, so defend yourself. Scream when you're in trouble. And don't be afraid. It's what holds us down," he says, recalling his ex-fiance in a wedding dress with somebody else.

"I will, yes, of course!"

"Also, you need to change. I mean, you look nice. Not saying I think you do, but you know, a runaway bride like you on the run—"

"I get it."

"Yeah, let's find a place for tonight. I'll send you off for your flight tomorrow."

Did he just decide to help her? Oh. Shit. More trouble. Fun!

He wants to be left alone but bumped into her, and now he's helping her.

What has his depressing life become?

"Really?"

"Be quiet."

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Younghee bounces up and down.

Sunwoo returns his gaze to her, trying to gauge where she gets the energy.

A small smile appears on his face. He doesn't want to admit how Younghee's enthusiasm has a remarkable effect on him.

He needs the silence to concentrate, though. The former pilot grabs the runaway bride's arm, settling his deep-set eyes on her bright ones, "What's your dream, anyway?"

"I want to be on stage and make music that brings comfort to everyone," Sunwoo forgets all negative thoughts at that moment, heartbeat thumping.

"I'm going to get you on that flight."
