"GRANDMA, IS IT REALLY OKAY FOR ME TO LEAVE?" A now 26-year-old Thalia Elie Bennet asks her grandmother worriedly while folding her clothes and placing them gently on her open luggage.

"Elie, I told you a hefty dozen that it is alright for you to leave, you got a wonderful job position in Manhattan, New York, and you shouldn't let that opportunity pass," Her grandmother tells her gently as the woman sits at the end of her bed as she got a piece of her clothing and helping her pack her things.

"And who will buy your medicine? Buy your groceries, pay your bills, and remind you to take your medicine?" Thalia asks her grandmother rapidly as she makes hand gestures in the air, trying to prove a point to her grandmother.

"You worry too much. I'm not that old. I'm only 65, and let me remind you that I'm the one who always reminds you to take your vitamins. I'm sure I won't forget, as, for the bills, you already taught me to pay online. The grocery is no problem at all," Celia tells her granddaughter with a gentle smile playing on her features. Her grandmother aged like fine wine. She doesn't even look like she is in her 60s, more of in her 50s, banshees age slower than humans, which explains the strength and the facial features.

"I'll just miss you too much, and I think that's why I keep making reasons to stay," Thalia smiles at her while closing her bag and zipping it close, and sighs heavily.

"You haven't even left, and you miss me already," Celia tells her while placing her arms around Thalia and placing a peck on her forehead. "You can always call me, video calls and such. We will never be apart, my darling."

"I'm not used to being apart from you. Ever since mom and dad passed, we're always together," Thalia tells her as she places her head on her grandmother's shoulder while the woman just combs her hair.

"Well, I think the bird needs to get off its nest to learn the lessons of life," Celia tells her granddaughter with a smile. She removes her hold from her and looks at her intently, "Thalia, be aware of the creatures that lurk in the dark, if we banshees exist, then there are other creatures that might exist, and they might be dangerous. I want you always to watch your back and be careful who you trust. You could feel it in your gut that there was something wrong. We banshees always do," The woman tells her sternly, and what Thalia can only do is nod her head, already growing nervous about being alone in a big city with a massive population of humans and maybe unknown creatures.

"Enough with the heavy. Go rest. You have an early train to catch," Celia tells her and stands up from her seat. And before she got to the door, a hand gently grabbed her wrist. She turns around and sees her granddaughter holding her wrist.

"Will you stay with me tonight, gran?"

"Of course, darling."
