Whispers and ScreamsA LITTLE GIRL AT THE AGE OF 12 IS WALKING AROUND THE FOREST, feeling like in a daze that she is not in control of her own body, voices leading her somewhere in the woods, leaves following the flow of the wind, crickets are the ones making a sound in the silent night, twigs crunching under her feet, the stars were like lucid snowflakes of silver as they sprinkled the night sky.
Whisperers in her head, making her headache in pain. Clutching her hair, she releases a tired sigh, looking around the dark forest, seemingly confused about why she was here in the first place.
Until she had an urge, an urge to release a scream, a loud scream, she held her throat, and a hand went to her mouth, making sure not to make a sound.
She can't bear it.
Don't contain it.
Follow your urge, little one.
Scream.
Loud.
She felt like something was wrong. Something terrible was about to happen in this forest.
She was feeling dizzy, still, a hand on her mouth containing the scream that she wanted to release.
Do it.
Scream.
It will be harder for you.
Then she released a scream, an ear-piercing scream that almost shook the forest floor that alarmed the nearby neighborhood.
Lights are slowly opening one-by-one. An old woman opened her eyes and quickly stood up from her bed, walking to the backyard that connects to the forest, opening her flashlight, and looking for her granddaughter.
Then she saw a little girl hugging her knees beside a tree trunk.
The old woman kneeled beside her, combing her hair.
"My darling, I didn't know it would be this soon," The gray-haired woman says to her granddaughter.
"What? What just happened? I didn't know I could scream like that. What's happening to me? Why are there voices?" The little asks frantically, looking up at her grandmother with red puffy eyes, small hiccups escaping her lips.
"You're a banshee, little one," The old woman answers, looking around the forest for any signs of a body, and she indeed saw it, a man hanging on a large tree branch.
Unknown to them, a blonde man with golden eyes was secretly watching the little girl wandering around the forest, making sure that she was alright, that no other creature could harm her, creatures like him.
He watched them walk back to their house. Digging in his pockets to look for his phone, he dialed a number.
"She found a dead body."
"She's too young for our world, Carlisle," The chirpy voice on the other line says.
"Just tell me when you had another vision of her."
"Of course."
