"I'll do it."

The director pushes his glasses on his nose, "Jungkook, you're saying that you will volunteer to accompany Doctor Kim in evaluating the new recruits, instead of going back on missions? Why would you want that?"

The director had given Jungkook the go-ahead to go back to field after the new serum developed by Doctor Choi and Taehyung had worked. Yet the agent had requested to carry out the one month break and now this.

"I would like to contribute to developing the next batch of agents, sir!"

The director sits back in his chair. He doesn't really buy it. Not that Jungkook had done a poor job when he was on trainer duty but the agent had always preferred engaging in missions. So why the sudden decision? However...

"Alright, it would do the new recruits good if a single digit agent can give them pointers."

"Thank you, sir," Jungkook grins, then paused when the director held up a hand.

"Agent 10 Kim Seokjin will also go along with you seeing that this is originally his duty. Seokjin's orders will take precedence, clear?"

Jungkook does a quick calculation in his mind. Seokjin hyung will definitely be suspicious of him and even try to question him but if he misses this chance, how can he make up to the doctor? He only has 3 weeks left till he is to go on missions again. Thus Jungkook steeled himself against the mental image of Jin hyung peering down on him and said, "understood, sir."

"Jungkook. If we find a suitable partner for you...never mind, you can take your leave."

Jungkook blinks quizzically then nods, leaving the office and shutting the door behind him. They had never found a partner complementing his abilities before.

Although it would take more than being buried under snow the mass of planet earth for Jungkook to feel cold, he shivered under Seokjin's gaze.

Seokjin says nothing, circling around Jungkook with predatory steps.

"Hyung, I really don't have bad intentions. I just want to block stray knives or whatever while Doctor Kim goes around. I know nothing else other than fighting and I'm trying to correct my wrong," Jungkook explains, his voice turning small at the end. He still feels bad, a little better now that he is doing something, but still. Jungkook may be childish at times, but he has a kind heart underneath, which is what is torturing him currently.

Seokjin takes another look at Jungkook, then finally relents and continues walking ahead, "I'll keep an eye on you."

Jungkook grins, punching the air silently. He jogs a little to keep with with Jin, the pair arriving outside Taehyung's lab to pick him up and head to the evaluation grounds together.
