"Jackson, can you shift into a fly or something and go over there to listen to what they are saying?" Youngjae suggested.

The group of new recruits are at one of the cafes in the organisation.

"No," Jinyoung said, then gives no explanation as he continues to drink his milkshake.

Already sensing that he is kind of like a leader figure for this group of very different personalities, JayB explains, "Agent Jeon is so good at what he does because he picks up even the smallest energy traces. If I don't want to be discovered by him, I would avoid him as much as I can and not shift into a fly while he's-"

"Aww, Nyoung, were you worried Agent Jeon would find out?"

"Shhhhh, I can't hear," Youngjae said as he strained his ears to eavesdrop on the table feet away.

"I can," Bambam, Yugyeom, and Jackson said.

Jinyoung nods, he can, too.

JayB and Mark couldn't, but they didn't care.

"What..." Youngjae slumped back into his seat. But that was only a few seconds before he was straining his ears again, because, "but wow, Agent Jeon on a date! With Doctor Kim!"

Taehyung held back a little smile. In his hands is a bouquet of gummy bears. Nothing as fancy as the raining flowers Bogum conjured up but these speak to Taehyung's stomach and are appealing in their own way. Very cute.

"I have thought about what I did wrong," Jungkook started, "and I am sorry about being invasive when I shouldn't be. I promise I won't ask you about it again and would never tell anyone."

Taehyung nods slowly, already having decided to forgive the agent before this conversation started, although the sincerity in Jungkook's voice did help make it easy. And the gummy bears? Taehyung was sold.

"Okay, I accept your apology and I admit that I may have overreacted as well, so yes, we are good."

But...

"But, why are we here?" Taehyung asked and he gestured to the couple's special pastry set in front of them. They could have settled this in the privacy of his lab.

"Oh, well," Jungkook beamed, and Taehyung couldn't stop the smile this time, "I was thinking that we started on the wrong foot, and that we can get to know each other outside the workplace, restart everything, so..."

"So what are they saying?" tables away, Youngjae asked the four who can hear.

Jinyoung shakes his head but Youngjae saw that coming. Undeterred, he turned to the other three.

But even Jackson, Bambam and Yugyeom shook their heads too.

"Hey, you all can't keep these things to yourselves. Share the details, please?"

"I'm not sure what Agent Jeon did, but I can't hear anything after he said that he has thought about what he did wrong," Yugyeom said.

Bambam, Jinyoung, and Jackson nodded. It is the same for them.

They did not know that there was nothing wrong with their hearing, but Taehyung had prevented their brain from processing his and Jungkook's conversation. It was an easy feat to manipulate that certain nerve of a group of unsuspecting youngsters.

"Look at that," Mark said and the group look towards Youngjae's iced latte, which was emitting steam and boiling.
