mention of tododekuThe ash-blonde male quickly hung up after a while and made his way to Kirishima's dorm, instantly barging in to see him packing and sobbing on the phone with someone. The redhead solemnly looks over at the door to see who barged in and tells someone on the phone that he has to go through sobs. Once he hangs up and throws his phone on the bed, he continues packing, ignoring Bakugou's presence.
The other watches him for a moment before closing the door and taking a steadying breath.
"We need to talk."
The redhead simply continues packing.
"About?" He questioned quietly as he walked over to his closet and skimmed through it, searching for anything else he needed.
The blonde watched his every movement, staying silent, then saying quietly, "I broke up with Midoriya."
The other barely manages to croak out, "Why?"
The crimson-eyed male didn't know how to respond. The redhead finally meets his eyes with a tear-stained face. His eyes were red, his nose and cheeks pink and somewhat blotchy.
"If this is because of what I said... Then that was a mistake. If you th- think you can just come in here.. a- and get with me out o- of pity—" His voice wavered and you could see he was trying not to cry as he turned his head away, barely whispering, "..then you might as well leave right now."
Bakugou's eyes stung. He knew if this kept up, he was going to start crying and he hated that. He didn't want to look so weak and vulnerable, to seem so weak and vulnerable, so he took a shaky breath, trying to calm down, and spoke again.
"That's not it. Kirishima, I need you to listen to me, please. Deku and I, we never even did anything. It was fake. It was a mistake, please, we never really loved each other. You have to believe me."
The broken redhead swallowed thickly and exhaled shakily. "F- Fine, but only because I find it weird how you went from hating him to d-dating him."
He looked at the ash-blonde once more with a fierce gaze and crossed his arms over his chest, waiting expectantly. The other took a deep breath and began explaining how their entire relationship came to be.
As you know, Deku and I grew up together. Our mothers knew each other as well. Ever since we were little, they always wanted us together. Of course, I was against it.
One day a few weeks ago, Deku and his mother were staying over for the night.
Reluctantly, we were hanging out in my bedroom. We weren't talking at all but then he started.. commenting on our current relationship.
"It's insane on how you two are friends," he said. "You and Kirishima, I mean."
I had scoffed. "Ex-fucking-cuse me? What the hell are you going on about, you shitty nerd?"
He turned towards me and rolled his eyes. "You know exactly what I mean, Kacchan." He turned back towards this stupid book he was reading. He had this knowing smile/smirk on his face and said, "You guys are such polar opposites. And you two aren't even that close really. I mean, I know things about him that you don't."
That irritated me. How the hell could this stupid fucking piece of absolute dogshit know you better? That's impossible. Last time I checked, I was your best friend. You told me everything. Not that useless extra.
I stood up and death glared him. "Oh fucking really? And what might those 'things' be, shitty deku?"
He also stood up, putting down his dumb book. He stared up at me defiantly and with a stupid grin. "And why would I tell you exactly?"
