Kirishima said he needed to talk to Bakugou about something when he came home over the phone, but he hasn't been able to get a moment alone with him between dinner and him being on the phone with, he's guessing, his agency. So he decided to go back to his room, alone, until his boyfriend was done with his business. But when he goes downstairs to the kitchen to see - and hear - him still yelling with the phone pressed to his ear.

Kirishima frowns and walks over to him, leaning his head on his back, silently reminding him that he still exists. Only to have his boyfriend shrug him off, scowl down at him, then continue to talk on the phone. The redhead doesn't even know what he's saying, every word sort of just blurs into the next. He sighs though and instead speaks up.

"Kats, I need to talk to you, 'member?" His voice is soft and low, eyes trained downwards, but Bakugou doesn't notice.

He growls and glares at Kirishima. "Fucking wait! Can't you see I'm fucking busy?" Someone says something on the other end of the call and he's back to barking incoherent things at them.

Kirishima looks up at him through his bangs, a sad, kicked-puppy look on face. "But you've been home for hours now, 'Suki.."

Bakugou swivels, eyes flashing dangerously as he aims the phone away from him, "and you have me any other fucking time, so go bother some shitty ass extra instead of me already, would you?"

Oh. Oh, he's /bothering/ him.

Tears prick his eyes and he sniffles. He knew he was a burden. Fuck, this is what he wanted to talk to Bakugou about. But clearly, as Bakugou dials another number, the blonde doesn't have time for him.

He sniffles once more, his small, lightly freckled nose turning red and his eyes becoming glossy. "Sorry for bothering, Katsuki."

He gives a tiny bow, gaze fixated on the ground, even as he turns around and begins to walk back to their shared room.

Bakugou's eyes widened, hearing the second sniffle and the way his voice sounded small. And how he had uttered 'Katsuki' that time. He's quick to put his phone down and briskly walk over to his boyfriend, arms wrapping around his waist and pulling him back into his chest.

"Hey, hey, not bothering, that's my fault. I'm sorry." he murmurs while nuzzling into his neck. "Should've been paying more attention to you, I'm sorry, baby. You have my full attention now, promise."

Even though Kirishima wants to stay upset a little while longer, he sinks back into the hold with pink cheeks and a small smile. After a moment he turns in the blonde's arms and buries his face into Bakugou's broad chest.

"'S okay." There's another beat of silence before he murmurs, "if.. if it's not too much trouble, I guess, can you just.. hold me for a while?"

The blonde internally screamed at himself for saying that the redhead was bothering him. Like Kirishima ever could. He was the light of Bakugou's life, his everything. His top priority. He just needs to remember that at all times. Kirishima /always/ comes first, no matter what.

With a sigh, he brings his hand up and combs nimble fingers through damaged scarlet locks. "Don't say that, sweet thing. You're never too much trouble, alright? You're never trouble at all. I shouldn't've said you were bothering me." He pulls back slightly to look at the smaller male in his arms properly. "Because you never do, alright?"

Tears pricked Kirishima's eyes all over again, but for another reason this time. It was funny how the reason why he wanted to talk to Bakugou was about insecurities and how he had just comforted them when the haven't even addressed the issue yet. Still, he choked it down, and nodded.

"Thanks, 'suki.." He mumbled, burying his face back into the blonde's chest.

The taller hummed, somewhere in the back of his mind still yelling at him for what he did. But he chose to ignore it for now and simply focus on his one and only. So he lifted the other by his thighs and carried him to the couch, holding him as close as possible and whispering the lyrics to the redhead's favorite song into his ear.

And, yes, he technically did have multiple calls to make, but he could just plan the proposal to Kirishima another time. Love knows no time and all that shit, right?
