the large room is cold, heating has been a problem lately. a young man in a uniform and a metal arm stands in front of the large glass window, intently observing the young girls in the room in front of him. they stand in a straight line, their bodies stiff as they hold onto the bar with one hand. a young girl with fiery red hair stands out between the other dark-haired girls. maybe because her hair colour is so vibrant, or maybe because she is the only one of the girls that struggles slightly to keep her balance. it is easy to see that she is the youngest amongst the girl, maybe only ten years old.

the man observes carefully as the young girls walk out of the room to change out of their tutus. he has never understood ballet, it has always been a mystery to him. but seeing the girl dance so imperfectly opens his eyes. ballet isn't so mysterious anymore.
