AUTHOR'S POV-

Was that necessary!" Sun-woo yelled as Min-lee caught her breath struggling. Hansung lifted her up into his lap. She slowly smiled at Hansung as her hands went to his cheek but didn't touch him. She motioned her hands as if she was caressing his cheek. She gazed at him with her loving eyes as Hansung sobbed watching her.

"I-I w-was....very lu-lucky.....to ha-have..you i-in my life," She spoke as her eyes teared up. She never imagined life without him. After a lot of struggle, he finally had her. His laugh was the only thing she wanted to see. Seeing him like this made her heart clench. Worst, she even couldn't feel him. 'Oh god, what is this?' Her heart spoke. 

"I will.....s-save..you...Min-lee, y-you will not...l-leave me," Hansung reassured as Min-lee chuckled sadly. He lifted her into his embrace as he hugged her tightly sobbing uncontrollably. He didn't want to let her go. He wanted her, wanted her to be his life partner, wanted to start a family with her. She cannot go just like this leaving him.  

He lifted her up and ran to the infirmary who was followed by Sun-woo.

"I..h-hope..y-you find..s-someone....w-when I l-leave-" Hansung cuts her off.

"No..No your...not leaving...me...I will..ask Ah-rho, she will save you....," Hansung sobs as Min-lee gazes at him lastly, smiling lovingly at him.

Eomma, appa, oroboni, I am comin to you..

"I-I..Love..y-you....Suk Hansung, I-I Have...loved y-you thr-throughout...m-my life," Min-lee barely manage to say those words. Her head felt dizzy, everything was going blur in her sight. She slowly closes her eyes.

"I love you too my Min-lee," Hansung sobbed his heart out as he carried her to the infirmary. His eyes sighting the pain from which the love of his life was going through. Someone who would stay by his side in the future. 

The blood gushed out from her cut palms making Hansung's uniform paint red. She was fighting between life and death.

"What happened to her," Ah-rho asked in shock as Sun-woo explained her quickly. She quickly opens the curtains as Hansung delicately places her on the bed. Ah-rho informs them to be outside as both of them sit on the stairs waiting for her.

"I was supposed to protect her," Hansung blurts out making Sun-woo look at him. He gently pats his back as Hansung's eyes tint small drops. 

Meanwhile in the palace..

"What do you mean?" Queen yells at Ji-Dwi as she hears the news of Min-lee. One side of her was relieved while the other was still tensed.

"Mother, it feels so shameful to call you my mother. How could you fall so down," Ji-Dwi speaks as the queen's eyes pricked with tears. Any son telling his mom he is ashamed of her would make her kill herself. The same is happening here, she felt ashamed of doing such things to safeguard her position and self-respect in her kingdom. 

But that doesn't matter to her now. She wipes her tears as she smirks down looking at her son.

"Well, now it's good. I don't have a barrier now," She chuckles which makes Ji-Dwi disgust. His eyes get wet as he runs off the palace. He couldn't believe that it was his mother. He never saw her so cruel. According to him, she was a soft-hearted person who was successfully ruling the kingdom without any King and a very good mother. But now, the whole perspective changed. The time he joined hands with Min-lee, he only found corruption, partial rule, and whatnot.

"Hansung, don't lose hopes she will make it, I'm sure," Su-ho reassures Hansung as other hwarangs too gather in front of the infirmary.
