Mornings with a cup of tea and some sunshine. peeping outside my clinic to sight a beautiful village beneath me. Children playing, ladies gossiping, men at work. People are busy with their own work. I smiled as I checked my schedule for today. "Not a much of a hectic day," I spin around as I start to sort my work.

The day ended in an instant. I always enjoyed work, meeting different sorts of people, treating them, and learning new things which were kind of good. Since it was just an early evening, I decided to walk around the streets to view the arrangement of the spring festival. 

"Min-lee," A husky yet deep voice called out to which I turned around.

"Oh Kwang-Tae-ssi," He was one of my friends and a successful swordsman in our village. He was the general in the kingdom of Silla but was kicked out after the reagent queen conquered the throne. 

"I was on the way to your clinic to see you," He smiled.

"Huh? Sorry Kwang Tae-ssi but I have no interest in you" I joke as he giggles at the statement.

"Neither I do, I have interests in older women," He teases as you laugh.

"Anyways, what's the matter?" He becomes serious as he signals me to go somewhere in private and talk about this. I agree and take him to the clinic. He sits on the chair as he deeply sighs rubbing his temples.

"Min-lee, you already knew about your brother trapped in Silla because he saw the upcoming king, but today," He hesitated to tell further. Our family was divided after the reagent conquered the throne, the kingdom fell apart, and many families got dispersed in which our family was one of them too. The people who were out of the empire were considered outcasts and were never allowed to get into the kingdom. at the same time, the people inside the domain were never allowed to go outside. 

"one of them was executed," My eyes twisted towards the ex-swordsmen of the Silla. It was finally the day after a year of imprisonment and torture. Tears bled as a mixed feeling of sadness of losing him and happiness of him being free from the hell hole came together.

"Mak-moon is still alive," Kwang Tae explains. He was my dearest best friend and brother-like to my brother. 

"This is not the only case, I want to send you there Lee," Kwang-tae continued. His plans were set right and came along all the emotions that made me boil inside. 

"The institute needs a doctor and I want you to accept it," I nodded and accepted the offer. Now the only work was to change my identity.

Author's Pov

She sat there, in the corner of the house, as she thought about the day when she heard her brother's death news in Silla. Tears streamed down which mixed both sadness and happiness. Now it was only her in this hut. Memories gushed down her mind making her weak and she clenched her brother's photo. She looked at it again to see that beautiful, handsome face of his.

It was her time now, to prove the innocence of her brother and fight for the kingdom.
