Dark Waters (Tom Riddle x Mermaid !reader)

It was now 2 weeks since you arrive there and you were doing great. You had already made a lot of friends that were really nice. The teachers liked you and you were just enjoying your time at hogwarts.

It was cold outside and the sky was grey. But it won't rain you could feel it. You were sitting outside waiting for your next class and on Lily. You had a free hour while she was in another class. You would go to your next lesson together. You took that peacefull Time under the tree with Pepper. She was there next to you and you petted her.

Pepper liked being outside a lot and it was even more better when you were there. They were a lot of other students around you, sitting on a bench while talking or studying. Some of them where looking at you. Boys for most of them. You were trying your best to hide behind you book and you glasses.

Tomorrow was the full-moon and your mermaid power were duplicate a this moment. That was why they were much more boys looking at you than usual. You were glad that you had those glasses, they were Big and covering your face great. They weren't really pretty and some of the girls from your groupe didn't know why you had choosen them. But it was okay for you like that.

Showing your face and be confident was really hard for you. So much people in your previous school had betrayed you, taking advantages of who you were. Especially THAT boy...Travis.
It was last year. You had fallen for him, and you thought him too.  At first, everything was perfect, you were dating and studying together.
One night, you decided to tell him that you were a mermaid. You trusted him but he was lying all the time...

You didn't wanted to think about that story now and you were shaking your head to make the rest of it going out of your mind. But that was useless...As you where always in your thoughts, Pepper turned her head really quick and was making warning sounds.
"What's wrong Pepper ?"you said while trying to calm her.

You looked in the direction to where she was pointing and you frozed at Riddle's figure. He was coming this way with his 'friends', more like his puppies you thought. The last few days, he had stopped looking at you. You felt relieved because his presence was strangely disturbing.

Everybody have secret, you're the first one to know that. But you could definitly tell that he had a lot of darker ones and that you wouldn't ever get involed with.

His perfect appearence and manners weren't matching with this dark energy, that it seemed, you were the only one to feel.

He was walking through the garden, paying attention to no one but of course everybody were looking at him now. You could hear some comments or giggles from girls beside you when they looked at him while Pepper was making angry sounds in his way. Did she felt that energy too?

Riddle was walking close to you avoiding the gaze from everyone and from yours. Some of the guy that followed him, did looked at you but you avoided them.

Pepper didn't like that they were so close and in one second, before you could stop her she flew straight to Riddle. Always making angry sounds.
"Pepper!" you call suprised as she tried to attack Riddle that had lift a arm to prevent her angry peckings.

"What the...?!" You Heard Riddle begin, clearly annoyed.
Everybody was looking at the scene with bigs eyes and you didn't understand why Pepper was doing this.

"Don't worry I get rid of that thing for you..."one of his follower said while taking his wand out.
"No!!"you screamed before catching Pepper in you arm to calm her and before anyone could do her any harm.

Everything had gone so quick that your glasses had fallen to the ground. You look at Tom a second before taking your glasses up to put them back on your nose.
