*Dec's POV*
"Hey Anth, did you miss me?" The dark-haired girl spoke, turning her head towards us and giving a soft smile. Ant stared at the girl, who looked slightly younger than us. His jaw visibly stiffened as he remained silent. The girl giggled at Ant and pushed her hair behind her ear.
"Oh, come on Anthony, what are you afraid of? The only people here are the ones you chose to be here," She said.
Ant glanced towards me, and back at the girl. He looked down at the keys in his hands and shoved them roughly into his pocket. As soon as his hands were empty, he lunged at the younger woman and wrapped her in a big hug, lifting her feet off the ground. "I missed you so much," he said in a soft, nearly broken voice. Beside me, Robbie and Stephen were grinning from ear to ear and I couldn't help but feel left out. I still had no idea who she was, but Ant was clearly happy to see her.
The girl giggled into Ant's shoulder and patted his back, gesturing to let her down. As her feet touched the ground, she smiled at Ant and said, "I missed you too big bro."
Big bro...
His younger sister...
I had all these doubts about him because he was protective of his younger sister??
What's wrong with me?! It's just his sister!
Wait... If it was just his sister, why didn't he just tell me?!
What the FUCK is he playing at?
If he doesn't even trust me enough to tell me about a fucking SIBLING, why does he even have me around??
My thoughts went back to the way Mark had used me. I felt a sharp twinge in my heart as I thought that Ant may be doing the same.
No, Ant wouldn't do that to me... He saved me... He cares about me... Right?
I wanted to scream, and shout in frustration, whilst also somehow disappearing into the stone walls of the prison. I knew that I wasn't thinking logically, but I couldn't get my thoughts under control.
As much as I wanted to believe that Ant cared about me, history seemed to be repeating itself. When Mark was done using me, he stopped "caring" about me. I feared Ant would do the same.
"Aren't you going to introduce me to your new 'friend' Anth?" The girl broke the silence and pulled me from the spiralling thoughts in the back of my mind.
"I-I'm Dec- Declan. Nice to meet you," I sputtered out, trying to be courteous. I wasn't even sure why I was courteous. I wasn't sure if Ant deserved that anymore.
"Nice to meet you Declan, I'm Sarha, Anthony's younger sister," she said. She turned back to Ant, smiling softly and then returning to her spot on the ledge.
Ant spoke, "Well, let's go Sarha."
She smirked back, "What are you talking about Anth?"
"We're here to save you... Come on," Ant replied, with a hint of surprise.
"Nah, I'm fine here, thanks."
"Sarha, you're literally in prison..." Robbie spoke up from behind Ant's shocked expression.
Sarha giggled, "Oh come on Robbie, I was just teasing my brother here. But don't worry, I'm here because I chose to be here, and I'll leave when and how I'm meant to. And that isn't, with you guys."
Ant's head fell in despair. Every fibre of my muscles wanted to go and comfort him, but my mind screamed at me to keep my distance.
Why didn't he just tell me?
