8220 Narrows Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11209 • Yadira and Kyrie's House.
"Yeah I sent out all the instructions yesterday but I'd like to add seating for one more person if that's possible..." Yadira takes a pause to listen hoping to add one unexpected guest to her initially seven person dinner party. A voice coming from the phone confirms Yadira's requests prompting a pleased smile on her face. "Perfect, thank you so much."
Going on to scribbling short notes on her planner, Yadira feels accomplished with how her upcoming dinner party is looking thus far. Since hearing of the new season, she's been planning a reunion but kept on hitting a brick wall. With conflicting schedules she could never seem to find a day where everyone was in the same city. This evening however, everyone would be in Brooklyn.
"Daddy!" The twins' squeals fill the central area of the house signifying their father was back. Walking into the foyer moments after, Yadira stares at her husband and two children. Kemari on his right hip and Jamila on the left. "You girls enjoy the game today?" Kyrie's inquiry causing the twins to speak over each other excitedly. He laughs heartily placing them back down, "Okay, okay how about you two go help Ms. Marie with dinner then you'll tell me everything once we're eating?"
Watching them scurry off Kyrie and Yadira turn to each other smiles plastered over their faces. "Great game today, my love." Yadira compliments after placing a quick peck on his lips.
"Thirty-four just for you."
"Please don't let Mila hear you. For all she knows, everything you do between those four lines is just for her." Just last month after a forty point game Kyrie unknowingly didn't mention Jamila's name during the post-game interview with TNT and needless to say she was infuriated. Not one to give the silent treatment, the three year old voiced all her afflictions every chance she got. Soon enough Kyrie had another great performance and didn't waste a second to credit his little diva. They had their hands full with that one.
"I'm gonna let you go get ready for dinner with your girls. Have fun and try not to get your limbs ripped when a fight breaks out." The two share a laugh before walking their separate ways, Yadira to their shared room and Kyrie to the kitchen.
1 Water St, Brooklyn, NY 11201 • The River Café.
Yadira arrives about half an hour earlier than the time on the invitations to reassure her worries, she needed to see everything in place. Known to be the best host around the east she needed to keep that honor with Yara slowly creeping up the ranks.
"Okay move that to the left slightly...perfect. Oh wait let me do that." Hastily Yadira grabs the place tags carefully selecting who sat next to who.
Yadira at the head, Yara and Asmiah to her right and left; Zwena in between Asmiah and Nikita; Cienna between Yara and Imahr; lastly Himari at the other head with Nikita and Imahr to her left and right. If a fight were to break out there was at least one neutral person between two opposites. A satisfied grin graced her face seeing as she was ready to welcome her guests.
