Placing a peck on the left-most corner of Matisse's lips, Imahr gets off his lap. Buttoning up her blue polo shirt Imahr thanks her ancestors for the genius that is box braids. Not a soul in the practice facility would be able to pinpoint what Imahr and Matisse had just done in her office.
Imahr's Confessional:
“...We're all grown here come on.” Imahr giggles, “I came into the office today to update some documents before we left for Washington. I have no idea why Matisse came along. But hey, I'm not mad about it.”"I kinda really like this new Imahr." Matisse states, finger-combining his hair.
Looking up at him, Imahr raises a questioning eyebrow, "What new Imahr?"
"The daring one." Matisse stands, moving one of Imahr's misplaced braids back behind her right ear.
"This was a one time thing, don't get comfortable." Imahr playfully steps away from him, shaking her head disapprovingly.
"Should you be a doctor when you barely know how to count?" Matisse jokes referring to the many times they've been intimate in Imahr's office. Imahr's eyes widen, barely staying in their sockets.
"Can you go do what you came here to do." Imahr turns her lip, her arms crossed kicking her boyfriend out of her office.
Laughing, Matisse kisses Imahr's cheek before leaving the office. Imahr shakes her head, a subconscious grin creeping onto her face. Realization hits her as she sees her smile on the mirror behind her door. She however doesn't stop smiling. Why would she? Matisse had her falling and she loved every second of it. Additionally, she was the only standing Philadelphia WAG on the show following Zwena and Ben's breakup.
Imahr picks up her phone looking for a message or missed call she knew she wasn't going to find. Since hearing about Zwena's breakup, she hasn't heard from Zwena herself. Initially, she assumed Zwena was just taking a break from everyone and social media as she showed up for her last game without talking to any of her teammates.
Imahr's Confessional:
“Zwena's closest teammate is Ezi. They pretty much talk all the time but on the 29th Zwena didn't talk to her once before or after the game. The Storm have one more day to their four-day break and I still haven't heard from Zwena. None of the people physically closest to her have either...”Scrolling through all the short texts between herself and Zwena's closest friends, Imahr tries hard to imagine the texts confirming Zwena's safety instead of what they actually were. Ezi, Sue, Breanna, Jewell, all five of her siblings, none of them had seen nor heard from Zwena. Maybe she was making a bigger deal of the situation than what it was, but Imahr was worried. She didn't want the beginning of their friendship to be the end as well.
