The three shadowhunters were out observing the perimeter, when Clay spotted someone walking in the shadows.
"Don't move!" She yelled, pointing her blade at the intruder.
"Drop what your holding and put your hands up" Alec warned, aiming his arrow.
They all watched as the figure turned around, Clary immediately dropped her seraph blade to the ground.
"Oh my God, Simon!" Clary cried as he touched Simon's limp body in Raphael's arms.
They all ran back inside, heading down towards some kind of basement Jace led them too.
Raphael placed Simon on an empty table in the middle of the room.
"People will be wondering what we found outside the perimeter"
"I'll go" Alec says."I'll tell them we didn't find anything, nobody will come down here" He gave them a sympathetic look before he walked out of the room.

I made it back to the ops center and saw Alec enter the doors of the institute.
"What did you see?" He then leaned down on my ear and whispered what just happened.
"I'll take a look at them. And by the way, your parents want you, Jace and Izzy on the office. Probably to discuss family affairs" I said.
He sighed."Okay. Call them for me please" He says before he left.
I was shocked at the moment, Alec Lightwood saying please? That's new. I shrugged it off and made my way down the basement.
As I made my way to the basement. I heard Raphael, Clary, and Jace's voice.
"There's a way" Raphael stated as I finally took my last step and entered the basement.
"What way?" I asked, making them all look at me.
"A way to bring Simon back" Raphael said, making Clary look at him.
"You can do that? How?" Clary asked with hope.
"He's fledging" Clary gave him a confused look."It's a state of transition. Your friend can be resurrected"
"No, Clary" Jace said
"So we can bring Simon back? Alive and breathing?" Clary asked.
"That's just it" I said."He won't be alive and breathing"
"He'll become a vampire..."

"Valentine's getting stronger and were just sitting here and waiting, doing nothing" Robert scoffed.
"The clave is handling things" Maryse replied and walked towards her husband.
"Come on. We both know how the clave handles things"
Maryse was about to reply when a knock was suddenly heard from the door, before Alec and Izzy entered.
"What's going on?" Alec asked as he entered the room. Izzy trailing behind him.
"Sit" Maryse pointed at the couch as the Lightwood sibling made their way and sat on the couch.
"It's no surprise Jace isn't here" Robert said with a stern look.
