"Alec" a soft voice and a firm hand on my shoulder interrupted my thoughts.

"What do you want?" I asked without facing her.

She took a deep breath and removed her hand from my shoulder.

"You've been coming here a lot lately" she said.

"I need a place where I can clear my head" I said, walking a few steps away from her.

After everything that happened, I sure as hell need to think. Especially after she left.

She signed."Alec, look, I know these past few days have been-"

"Days? Isabelle, it's been 2 months" I snapped, clenching my jaw and fist, trying to keep my calm. Everytime I thought about how much time had passed, I completely loose it.

2 months. Exactly 60 days had passed since that total psychopath took my parabatai. It's also been a few days since I last saw and talked to her since she was too busy.

After that talk I had with her, she just got up and left. She left me broken. And I just stood their and let her. I didn't even tell her goodbye.

FLASHBACK

Me and Alana were currently standing in silent here at the rooftop.

"We're in private. Now how about you tell me what's going on in that head of yours" I said as I grabbed her shoulders and made her face me.

"This is all my fault. If I acted fast then maybe Jace wouldn't be gone and everything would have been alright" she says.

I didn't know what to do except to pull her into my arms and hugged her tightly.

"It's not your fault" I whispered, getting her to calm down.

She then pulled away and looked at me."I need to make things right. I gotta find him"

"What are you gonna do?" I asked.

"I need to find Jace and I can't do it here. I'm sorry, Alec, but I need to go" she said as she pulled her hand out of my grasp and walked away.

END OF FLASHBACK

Isabelle cleared her throat and blinked a few times before finding her voice again."I know it's been a while, but everyone's doing the best they can, I'm sure even Alana is, but for now we just have to wait-"

"Wait? If they're doing the best they can then Jace would already be here. Alana would already be here with me!" I huffed."It's clear that they're not doing enough"

She then stepped back away from me, still shocked at my sudden outburst.

"The clave, us, nobody is doing enough! The most dangerous person, if you can still even call him a person, took away not just one, but two people away from me. Jace is somewhere out there, and there's a constant fear inside me because I can't feel him through our bond. And then there's Alana, she left wanting to find Jace, thinking that this was her fault..."

I could feel my face hot from anger, tears threatening to form. Why did I let time pass this long? I should've found Jace by now, and me and Alana would be managing the institute together. But no, I failed them.

"You're acting like you're the only one who lost someone. In case you forgot, Jace is my brother and Alana's my bestfriend. I lost them too. Clary lost both his brother. Simon lost contact with Alana. Jocelyn and our parents lost a son too. We've all lost them, Alec. We're all worried. Like you, we also miss them. Think about that for a moment" she huffed.
