It's been two full years, and I'm now nineteen. When I became eighteen, I started in a supervised apartment and started meeting potential guys with their baby or babies. Finally, I found Aiden, and he had Billy and Mikey. Bella is now two and a half years old, and her sister is two yyears old. Aiden and I are planning out our wedding, something that is trictly observed byy a married couple that ran the supervised apartments. Any infraction can get our kids removed, andd can get us starting us back at square 1. Two families near us have already been evicted and sent back to re-train while their 'babies' were sent back to nanny centers to be re-adopted all over again. When we leave, we will have the option of choosing two more babies, one boy and one girl. We already have a house in the country chosen. Something far away from this place so we can't be spied on. And something not in this sttatee. We both work remotely anyway, so it'll be easy to care for all of our children with both of us at home. We even plan to homeschool. I've even agreed to take on special cases that need 'treatment' that have upset someone an make them 'disappear' for the first year we move out of here.
Today is one of those days. We get up, clean the house after feeding the children, get them on a homeschooling activity, and then get to work, while monitoring theeir schooling. Mine is just checking emails, because unless I have a programming job, I'm focusiong on the kids. Mikey is two and Billy is two and a half so they all are learning their alphabet, colors, numbers, shapes, so on and so forth.
Then during their nap time, the couple comes and we talk about our wedding and the move. They approve thhe house we found and tell us it's going to be bought out right for us so we don't have to worry about mortgage. Also, we have to leern driving, so we each are taken one at a time, once a week, and given lessons. Our driving test is the day before we graduate. It's like our last test.
"I think that settles it then, the date is June tenth, the time is eight in the morning so you can move same day, dress is formal, and you are wearing a blue Cinderella style stress with a wreath of blue flowers on your head. ." The woman said.
"The llittle ones will be watched during it and your driving test. You have ten days til the wedding." The man explained.
We had to share the ceremony with three other couples. It's a tradition that happens eery weekend for four lucky coules and their children.
What happens when we take our driving test will decid if we get married the next day or if we are immediately start from square one over again.
Nine days later, i had just put the toddlers down for their nap when Aiden came in with his driver's license. I smiled right back at him.
"The kids are down for their nap and I guess it's my turn now?" I asked, informing him of our kids status right now.
"Yeah, Jenny, I mean Misss Jenny is waiting for you right now. ". He said, hugging me. They had given us wallets that day, annd me a purse so we could stash important documents in them. He was given a fanny pack.
I headed out of our apartment and Jenny was right there, stone faced as ever.
"Are you ready Ashley?" She asked. She watched me like a hawk for signs that I doubted myself. I didn't. I poured over the materials and memorized all the driving information for the written and driving test.
Two hours later, I was in a car in a small road course. I followed each direction with care, and continued until I got to the other place I needed to park.
"You passed both writing and driving parts of the test. Let's get your ID." Jenny said. For the first time, I saw a smile on yher face. I shut off the car, handed her the keys, and we headed inside to get my driver's license all set up. My picture wasn't amazing but it was better than I expected.
When we got back to my apartment, I heard the little ones up and showed my ID to Aiden before putting it in my wallet in the purse.
Later on, Jenny and Joe, the couple overseeing our apartment floor came for one last inspection, and for us to sign paperwork. It was a formality stating that for two and a half years, we would be not so closely monitored, and a visit after one year and then at the end of two and a half years. We read through it closely while the kids ate dinner, and soon we signed them, agreeing to all terms.
tonight, I'd be sleeping in the girl's room, and Aiden would be sleeping with the boys so we'd be seperated for the night before weding.
The wedding was beautiful, and we received a blue 11 person van, with six of the 12 seat van. The front two rows were taken up by carseats, two back facing, and four front facing. We chose two cute twin babies that were a boy and a girl. They were newborn, and they were so small. Our trunk was loaded to the max with even the back seat folded down to make room. We said goodbye to everyone that was leaving and especially to Joe and Jenny.
It was about an eight hour drive to our new home and no cars followed us as we drove. The place wa a spacious six bedroom, six bathroom, and even an indoor pool.
I didn't worry about looking around, I found the girls' and boys' nurseries, and put the toddlers to bed, with Aiden's help of course. Then we put Natalie and Nathaniel in the basinets in our room. There was a mini nursery room off to one side so I could take care of them without waking aiden or vice versa.
We crashed afer making sure everyone's diapers were dry, and I slept more peacefully in that bed with Aiden than I ever had at the academy.
I know this sounds like a close, but just wait for the epilogue. Thanks for reading and voting everyone, it means a lot to me.
