It was already noon after i had settled my shop and gotten all my belonging coming with me to the Eighth. I left a note with Lieutenant Hinawa's friend to give to Takeru the next time he came by since he would be taking over my shop. I hoped he would get my note and try to contact me at the Eighth.

On the way back, I had spoiled Shinra with lunch. We chatted between eating and I learned about him. A devil, Demon, horrible names for someone who wanted to be a hero. Which brought up the accident from twelve years ago and his wanting to find Sho. We even talked about going to the First and our mission.

In about weeks, we will be infiltrating the First and everyone was on edge in the passing days. I found myself fitting in wonderfully with the others of the Eighth. Even still in moments of calm, I would find myself fretting about Takeru. Captain seemed to notice and would thankfully give me extra things to do around the company.

Today, however, was painfully slow. The day before we were to meet with the other companies joining the training regiment of the first. I had already packed my bag that held my month's worth of clothing and bathing materials. I paced the halls trying to find something to occupy my time.

"(F/N)!" Captain Obi's voice rang through the office and stilled me.

"C-coming!"

I entered the office and took notice that Lieutenant Hinawa and Captain Obi were standing beside each other. They both had a sharp look that told me they were serious about something.

"Y-yes sir,"

"Is something bothering you? You have paced the halls none stop today," Captain Obi crossed his large arms and lean against a desk.

I rubbed the back of my head, "I guess I'm a little nervous about tomorrow sir. I'm not used to being professional. If they ask me to fight... Let's just say I wasn't known for fighting clean."

"It's good to be ruthless," Lieutenant Hinawa stared into me with his wide eyes, "With you having no power it would be in your best bet."

"If you're worried about letting us here at the Eighth down I wouldn't worry too much," Captain Obi smiled and lifted an arm, "We are a team. We all understand what it means to struggle."

"T-thank you both," I beamed warmly, "You put my heart at ease."

"Now stop wearing down my floors," Lieutenant Hinawa scoffed and turned his back to me.

"Y-yes sir,"

"You're dismissed, "Captain chuckled then quietly asked, "What are we having for dinner tonight?"

I chuckled and teased, "You will have to find out!"

Before anything was thrown at me I ducked out of the office to start making dinner for the night.

The next day Maki, Shinra, Arthur, and I were all at the front of Company Two's cathedral. I had finally gotten my Tailored official Fire soldier fatigues. Maki had put in the form for me. Saying she knew exactly what would fit me. Much like Maki's Fatigues in the top but a shorter skirt.

I stood next to Maki waiting on the other Companies Recruits to join us. I fidgeted with my hat and then my sleeves before Maki slapped my hands away.

"Stop messing with your clothes. You look fine," She huffed and crossed her arms, "You're like a child on picture day."

"Then that would make you my mother Maki," I snickered.

"(F/N), Is that you?"

I turned to the voice. Takeru was walking up with Toru Kishiri. I couldn't help but stare as they walked up to us. He was dressed in Company Two's Fatigues that he adorn with a cape. His hair was trapped under his officers' cap. My heart hammered in my chest. Did he get my note? Would he understand?
