The way we fell in love

Chapter 1- How we met

It was the first day of Scarletts 10th school year and she had french as one of her first classes. At her school it is normal that all classes and courses will get mixed before the 10th grade, so she had no idea who she will see in her courses.

In french she saw some new faces she never saw before and they had to introduce themselves to the class. They all changed to Scarletts school from an other one. The last one to speak was Olivia. Olivia has red hair, dyed but that is something she keeps a well hidden secret and green eyes that remind you of spring grass- but Scarlett did not noticed any of that because she was busy chatting with her friend Tina.

That was the first time that they saw each other, but afterwards they never really interacted with each other since they only had french with each other and had their own friends. Olivia soon became close with some of Scarletts friends, but she did not mind.

Scarlett, a real ginger, was already outed to some of her friends at school since she fell in love with a girl around a year ago. Sadly that girl broke her heart over a text, saying that she just does not feel anything romantic. Afterwards Scarlett tried to date others, boys and girls, she did not really care but it was never any serious and she was not even sure if the whole "I like girls" thing was not only a phase or part of desire to be something special. She tried to convince herself that she would be fine with dating a boy but all the dates she went to with one were horrible and made her feel like shit. So she just stopped searching for anybody at all and enjoyed spending time with her friends.

Her french teacher Ms. Thamas was really into lovestories, which made it quite easy to get good grades in exams as long as you were able to work in some lovestory. One day in class they had to write a small play in pairs to fit one of the stages of love: "meeting each other", "dating", "being in a happy relationship", "marriage" and the "break-up/divorce". Scarlett and Tina were chosen to write a small play to the first stage of love, both of them did not want to play a male role so they just decided to write a queer story. They were quite nervous to present in class since it's not that common for two people to present a queer lovestory, but as soon as their teacher found out they would be playing girls that meet and flirt in the bathroom of a club she was their biggest fan. The presentation went well, no one made any stupid comments and they also had to present it at the schools open day, which felt like a big coming out for Scarlett even though no one thought anything about it.

Due Olivia being freinds with Scarletts friends they got to talk to each other during breaks, when they were hanging out as a group. One might say they became friends, eventhough they never talked alone or texted.

That was just the first chapter to set the mood and give the story of how they met and also some background on Scarlett. In the next chapter it will get more detailed and also there will be speech included, so don't worry!
