Scarlett and Olivia not only texted on a regular base now and started each day with seeing aech other as they drove to school but they also sometimes meet up and hang out, just the two of them. When ever they met they had a great time, they laughed nearly the whole time while telling the other one stories about them growing up.

Time flew by and soon it was May, more specific the week of their school trip. Olivias course and Scarletts went to different cities- Berlin and Munich, both of them excited to get there and just hang out with their friends, while following their teachers around. As soon as Scarletts course arrived in Berlin they went straight from the Hostel to their first destination, a museum. Being the innocent and brave girl her parents raised her to, she turned off her phone not wnating it to ring while walking through a museum. After spending 2 hours with walking every corridor there is and looking at every piece of art it was time to leave the museum, Scarlett being excited to turn on her phone and see if someone (Olivia) texted her about the acitivties they had done. But her excitment only lasted a few moments, since her screen litt up there was a notification that her storage was full and other weird sentences she did not understand. Scarlett only had the choice to press okay, for quite a few times before her screen went dark. Her phone just died write in front of her eyes with her having no idea how or why. She just wanted to cry, thinking of how to survive a week without a phone and without the ability to text any of her friends. At least one of her roommates lent her her phone so that she was able to inform her parents that nothing bad happend to her and if they need to reach her they should call the roommate. Scarlett did not really care that she will not be able to speak to Olivia for a week, even though she indeed wondered what Olivia and her course were up to and the other end of the country. Scarletts mind was occupied with being annoyed that her phone was dead because she wasn't able to find her friends that went out without her. That's when Scarlett went back to the Hostel room and started to write in her diary about her feelings and their activities of the day. It was also the first (of many times) that she wrote down the name Olivia, still not thinking much of it.

Olivia on the other hand was worried why Scarlett did not anwsered her texts, so she decided to ask some freinds that she knew Scarlett would share a room with. After getting to know that it was just because her phone broke down Olivia was equally glad, that it was nothing personal- she was afraid that Scarlett decided to block her eventhough there was no reason for it, and sad that she will not be able to talk to her for at least 5 more days. Since they stared texting on a regular base in January Olivia realized that she really likes Scarlett and has the feeling that the girl just gets her. She felt as if she could talk to her about everything and will not get judged. And there was one thing on Olivias mind that she is dying to talk to Scarlett about, but now with her phone broken Olivias boldness to text her about broke down as well.

The days went by. Scarlett wrote every evening and more often than not Olivias name appeared on the paper and it was even ofter present in her mind. Scarlett thought about things like 'Is Olivia having fun? Did she tried to text me? Is she even wondering why I don't respond?' - not knowing that Olivia asked all their friends. Olivia had nearly the same thoughts but did not feel the need to write them down, that would just make them true and put her in a position were she has to think about why she can't stop thinking about this girl. Tomorrow their school trips will end and Scarlett is really looking forward to go home, not only because a new phone is already awaiting her but also because it means that on monday she will see Olivia back at school and can ask her in person how her trip was. Olivia on the other was scared to go home, being home and alone means that she will not longer be able to shut up her thoughts and keep herself busy and it means she will see Scarlett again. Olivia did not think that it woul bother her that much that she was not able to talk to her for a week.

On Saturday Scarlett got her new phone but was way too scared to text Olivia, what should she say? "Hello, Scarlett here. Don't know if you are aware but my phone died and this is my new number"? No way.

The weekend went by without them texting- Olivia wanted to text, but did not have Scarletts new number and Scarlett just did not knew how.

At the same time Scarlett chatted with a girl she met online, who would attend the same concert as her and her friends on Saturday. Scarlett was quiite nervous, even though she never meet Amy before she knew that she felt something for her, but meeting here while being out with friends does not sound like a good idea. Scarlett was aware that the venue is rather small so it will not be possible to not see Amy at all and as if a greater force wanted it, they ended up standing next  to each other for the whole durration of the concert. Both of them to shy to talk to each other, they just texted and left with their friends at the end without sharing a single word but they did shared a hundred looks and smiles.

As Scarlett laid in her bed that evening she felt asleep with a smile on her lips thinking about her, the one she has a crush on.
