This is going to be the last chater! Enjoy it. The first two chapters of my new story which is called "The plane ride that changed her life" are already online and I'll probably upload again tonight.

As Scarlett thought she dreamed about Olivia, like she did most nights. In her dream they went out for their real first date and had a picknick at the lake that is near to Olivia's house. They enjoyed some sandwiches, candies and grapes and just had a great time, as they were about to kiss Scarlett's alarm went off and she had to get up and face reality.

Scarlett decided to take an earlier train to school to avoid Olivia since she was not so sure how to interact with her after their conversation yesterday. The only thing she knew was that she had to talk to her so she texted Olivia 'Good morning. I think we should meet after school and talk.'
'Talk about?'
'It. Us. However you like to name it..'
'Scarlett you know I'm not good with words.. Can we maybe not do it today?'
'Okay... I think we should do it, I mean you can just listen but if you don't feel like it, we do it an other time.'

Writing those words made Scarlett really sad- she wanted to know if it means somthing that Olivia likes her back but she also knew that Olivia is bad at expressing her feelings and hates confrontation. She tried to follow her biology teacher but she wasn't able to focus on anything she talked about.
Sage noticed and texted her 'You haven't talked to Olivia yet, or? I can see that you are sad from across the room. Wanna hang out at break outside the school ground, so you don't have to see her?' Scarlett was so grateful for her friend and just smiled at Sage before placing her phone back into her bag. They went to the supermarket during break and brought some choclate which Scarlett inhaled before going to her politics course. Scarlett really likes her politics teacher and the subject itself so it was easier to refocus on school than Olivia and her feelings than it was in biology. But than it happened.

*TW: possibilty of a school shooter (just an announcement)*

As their teacher tried to explain the german political system an announcement went off.

"Please lock the doors and windows, there is a schhol shouter on the ground. Please stay inside your class rooms and barricate the door."

Scarlett and most of the others went immediately into shock, gladly some's first reaction was to move tables and chairs in front of the door as well as pushing their tables to the ground so they had a place to hide. Scarlett felt her heart beating out of er chest while at the same time felling numb, it was a surreal experience like she never had before. The fear and panic went on for she does not know how long but it felt like forever, till she heard their principal's voice saying "I am so sorry for that announcement. This is the end of the warning, there has been NO school shooter. Some workers hit a pipe and that alarm went off. I am so sorry for the trouble."
This had to be a bad joke or? Not even her teacher knew that they had an alarm for a school shooter, as they were all still in shock her teacher gave them a small break which Scarlett used to text Olivia 'I don't care that you're not ready to talk. That alarm scared the shit out of me and our talk can't be worse! We are doing it today or never. Life is too short.' Scarlett knew the ultimatum was unfair but she also knew that it will probably the only way to get Olivia to agree.
'ok. When and where?'
'I thought about skipping drama later- wanna join? And we could just go to the nearby play ground.'
'Ok. See you than.'

Scarletts heart immediately dropped to her feet. She did not interact with Olivia the whole day and in a few hours the will see each other face to face for the first time after sharing their feelings- scary as shit.

They meet at the playground and sat down on the bench, both not knowing how to start the conversation. After a few minutes passed by in uncomfortable silence Scarlett decided she had to break it.

"Thanks for coming. I think we should really talk about what it means for us that we do like each other as more than just friends."
"Can you just talk? I don't know what to say. I haven't figured it out for myself to be honest."
"Okay so.. I like you.. Like really like you.. I can not go an hour without thinking about you.. And I was scared as fuck that it was all in my head, like the small gestures and stuff... I'm still afraid that it is just a joke to you or you will realize I'm not worthy of your feelings in a bit.."
"I feel the same.. What do you want us to do know?" Olivia asked, looking at Scarlett for the first time since they sat down.
"I would like to try to figure it out, to get to know you even better...But what do you want? I don't want to do anything that you do not feel ready for."
"I'd like that."

Scarlett saw how unsure Olivia felt and decided that this talk must be enough for now eventhough they did not detailed what "figuring it out" meant, she just was happy that they are on the same page and now definetly crossed the friendzone. Their eyes met and their looks wandered towards their lips, but they were too afraid to kiss each other, not wanting anyone to see them as they were still next to their school.

The next day was their final day of the school year so they just got handed their transcripts, before getting off from school. Olivia went to have lunch with some friends and Scarlett went to get some ice cream with her friend group, like they always did. But this time Scarlett said goodbye way before the others did to meet up with Olivia, not saying why she is leaving so eraly. Scarlett still enjoyed it being her secret. They met in a park near Scarlett's house and just wandered around chatting about anything that had nothing to do with their "relationship". At some point their hands casually met, but instead of pulling them away they interwinded them- holding hands sober for the first time. They found a hidden spot away from the main road and sat down on the grass, hugging each other without any reason before their lips met for the first time. It was a quick and innocent kiss, over before it really began and it happened so fast both weren't able to think about how it made them feel. They sadly did not get a new chance since a dog walker came by and they decided it was about time that they got home. As they said goodbye they hugged way longer than friends do.

A few days later they met again at Scarlett's to watch a movie. Scarlett was determined to know what they are now, she needed clarity before going to England. Olivia arrived and they went straight into Scarlett's room where Scarlett just bursted out "I need an answer. What are we? Trying is not good enough for me."
"Well if you want to we can be in a relationship...?" Olivia asked shyly. A smile appearing on Scarlett's face and as response she just grabbed Olivia at her waist and kissed her again, the kiss was still innocent but lasted longer.
