* Author's Note*
It is a quite small one, since I'm at a gathering and already a bit tipsy but I still wanted to post a new chapter. xoxo
Neither Olivia nor Scarlett were brave enough to admit that they were serious about the words they exchanged the night before. They did not meet in the train to school on monday morning since it was their schools annual sports event and they had to be there at different times to prepare stuff. Their politic teachers signed them up to be in charge off some stations- Scarlett was in charge of "football in the dark" which meant a darkend classroom and a football with lights and 2 teams that played against each other without seeing where they are shooting, she got hit with the ball multiple times. Olivia and some others were in charge of the orienteering station, they had to plan a run around the school yards and than wait at the end for the ones that are done.
In the first break Scarlett and Olivia met in the school building, since they wanted to see each other with the excuse that they woul exchange their bracelet/hair tie back. Scarlett was glad that she would get to see Olivia eventhough she did not wanted the bracelett back. They quickly talked, exchanged it and had to went back to their stations. As soon as they had the possibility they texted each other about thow their station was doing and they met up in every break- mostly it was Scarlett looking for Olivia. Scarlett did not care about the others hanging out at stations to chat, she just wanted to see Olivia as much as possible. Realizing the desire to see Olivia at any given time Scarlett decided that she has to talk to her, this time for sure. Scarlett will do it this week, after Wednesday- their last school day. Next week she will go to Brighton for a 3 week long internship, which means that she can avoid Olivia for at least those weeks if the talk went south. Knowing that made Scarlett feel better, eventhough she was still scraed to death. Scarletts left earlier, went to say goodbye to Olivia who was very sweaty- but she did not mind and hugged her anyway.
After school Scarlett went home and got herself ready. In the evening she was suposed to meet with some fellow classmates at the park to have a small bbq and just chill. Scarlett ate a lot of food, primarly salad since she is a vegetarian and had a great time, laughed a lot. They all drank some beers and Scarlett felt the alcohol rushing through her blood and knew that she would probably have to drink again before confessing her feelings to Olivia.
It was already dark and quite late as Scarlett and a freind of hers decided to go home. Sitting in the train she started to text with Olivia, telling her about their gathering and that she nearly set the whole flame on fire as she ran over the grill. Somehow the topic changed back to "crushes" as Scarlett wrote that she knows she have to tell them but can not bring up the courage.
Olivia replied "Just tell her, I am sure that it will turn out great and she still wants to hang out with you. You are stressing yourself way too much."
"I just don't want her to think strange abot me or something but I will do it, wishing for the best."
"Scarlett, if she reacts like an arsehole I will punch her, okay? No matter who she is- being a dork is never okay and I will not let anyone break your heart."Scarlett tipped because she was able to overthink it, just following her instinct- "So you would slapp yourself?". She really hoped that Olivia would get it, not wanting to explain it more but also glad that she did it and now, there is no turning back, as she waited for Olivia's response.
