Kirishima

I didn't notice it was my turn until Sero nudged me with his elbow and gave me an encouraging smile.

"My name is Eijiro Kirishima," I said, trying to sound confident and not like I was super nervous. "I'm captain and I also play forward."

Bakugo scoffed and everyone else on my team continued to introduce themselves. I glanced up at the board as I waited and almost broke down in a fit.

I was going to be in a cabin with-

"Alright, everyone, listen up!" The football coach yelled, interrupting my thoughts. "Here are your cabin mates. Captains, you'll be sharing a cabin because you both have something in common, which is leadership. Also..."

He turned his gaze to me. "I'm really sorry if something happens up there, Kirishima. Bakugo is a hard kid to get along with. He has quite an attitude."

I smiled. "It's okay! I'll share a cabin with whoever."

Please change my cabin mate, I thought.

He showed everyone else their cabin mates, then he said, "Go home, pack, and tell your parents where you'll be for the next two weeks. We leave in 4 hours and it's a 3 hour ride to get to the campground. I'll give you a list of things you need to pack now."

He walked around the room handing everyone a sheet of paper with a list on it.

4 hours? I thought. I thought we were gonna leave after school or something...

I heard the ash-blond boy swear form across the room, but no one said a word about it. Was that normal for them?

I received my list and scanned it over. It wasn't very specific, that was all I could tell.

Clothes (casual clothing, PJs, and workout clothes. You will be able to wash your clothes at the campsite)

•Underwear

•Shampoo, Soap, and Conditioner

Two pairs of shoes (shoes for playing and shoes for walking around/hiking)

•Journal/Notepad

•Phone and phone charger

A sack lunch for the way up there (we will provide food at the camp for the rest of the two weeks)

•Whatever else you want

I held in a laugh as I scanned it over again. What a bizarre list.

"Bro, this list is messed up," Sero said, leaning into me. "Journal or notepad? Like who the frick has those things lying around?"

I laughed. "I dunno. I might have some at my house if you need one to borrow."

"I'll hit you up if I need something," he said, winking. "You've always been my go to."

I hit his arm playfully. "That sounded flirty."

"Maybe it was supposed to be," he said, squinting his eyes, raising his eyebrows, and biting his lip.

I laughed again and shoved him away. "You joke too much, man."

He laughed and sat up in his seat. "That's why I'm your best friend."

"Okay, you're all dismissed," my coach said, and everyone grabbed their things and headed towards the door.
