Octane was jump master. He hot dropped us, which wasn't a surprise, but I still wasn't ready. I was always looking back to make sure I wasn't being stalked by Revenant.
"So, (Y/N)," Bangalore began. "What's your ability? We're teammates, so I think it would be beneficial for us to know."
"Well, basically, my ultimate ability is that I can release an ear piercing shriek that deafens others for a some seconds. They won't be able to hear where bullets are coming from, footsteps, and their teammates. My tactical is I can imitate voices and trick others nearby. For example, if people are close to me, I can imitate the noise of being downed. They'll most likely follow that voice and meet me. And my passive is that I can hear what legends are near and what they're carrying. But, I have to be a certain distance away in order to." I explained.
"Wow! That's a lot!" Octane said. "I'm glad I'm on your team!"
I laughed at his response. Everything seemed to be going smoothly. I continued finding loot. So far, I was carrying a volt and a mastiff.
"Taking damage!" Bangalore yelled. Octane and I ran to her. I hoped with every piece of me that it wasn't Revenant who was attacking us. Luckily, it wasn't. It was the Loba squad.
"Hey beautifuls!" She sang through her evil smile.
"Bangalore! Take this!" I tossed her a syringe. I still had quite some time before my shriek was ready.
"Healing." Bangalore announced.
Octane downed and finished one of the teammates.
"They're not getting back up from that." Octane said proudly.
It was my turn to do something now. I began to sound as if I was choking on my last breath.
I soon heard Loba's heels clicking down the steps. I prepared myself. I aimed my volt at the staircase. Suddenly, the noise stopped. My breathing hitched. I could hear my own heartbeat through my ears.
I saw her toes point my direction. The sound of her clothes folding beneath her as she crouched down was enough to make me switch positions.
"(Y/N), darling. Why don't we make this quick. I want to get to the loot." She said. Why was I with her all alone? Where was Bangalore and Octane?
"I'm down!" Octane yelled.
"They got me, I'm down." Bangalore said defeated. It was just me, Loba, and the second teammate.
I tossed an arc star behind me. The sound of heels scattering gave me the heads up to face the woman.
I shot my volt and hit her right arm. I felt bad, but it was either me or her. But, she did not go down without a fight. She was hitting me, and hitting me hard. We couldn't be the first team gone. I hid my fear of hurting a friend and hit her right in the head with my mastiff.
"Sorry.. beautiful." I said to her as I ran off to find the other teammate.
I was met with Wattson traps and my teammates inside of them. I could see the static defender in my view. She was in the right vicinity to hear my shriek.
I released my cry and watched her collapse to the ground. This was the perfect time to catch her off guard. Wattson looked hurt, but as I did with Loba, I had to do something before it was me that was gone.
As she was crouched on the floor, she was perfect head shot height. I reluctantly shot her with my volt and watched her death box appear.
"Nice kill, compadre! But come pick us up!" Octane yelled. I ran over to my friends and picked them up. We switched out our weapons, if needed, and healed up. It was a good first fight.
