"These gardens are much more pretty when you actually have the time to look at 'em." Fuse pointed out.
"Yes, these flowers took some serious dedication." Bloodhound said, admiring the fields. The agriculture was gorgeous. The grass was perfectly mowed, the flowers looked healthy, and the air felt fresh.
As we proceeded walking, Revenant suddenly let go of my hand. Was I being annoying somehow? I ignored my disappointment and continued on the path.
Taking quick glances behind me, I noticed that Revenant was taking his time. Maybe he just wanted to be away from me...
I walked faster, not wanting to be annoying.
"(Y/N)." Revenant said.
"Yes..?" I asked. We were slowly getting left behind.
"Here." He handed me a bundle of handpicked flowers.
"T-thanks..." I said, a soft blush tickling my cheeks. "What is this for?"
"You need flowers when you die, right? Unless I've been doing it wrong for all these years..."
"No, it's perfect." I grinned happily and took the flowers. The bouquet complimented me perfectly. It didn't fade or outshine me. It was the perfect balance of elegance and eye-catching beauty.
I turned back in front of me to realize that we were no longer part of the group. They were too far ahead and I really didn't feel like running in these heels. I have no idea how Loba could do this every day for several hours.
"The group left us. We can just walk by ourselves if that's fine." I told Revenant.
"Perfect. I can kill you in solitude."
"Whatever you say." I laughed at his response and walked on forward in silence- which I didn't mind. Being with him was amazing, whether we're go-kart racing or fighting robots or taking a tour of a luscious garden.
For about fifteen minutes, we just pointed at pretty things and talked about them. I did, at least. Revenant usually found something negative to say.
"No, Revenant, there is a very obvious difference between lilac and lavender."
"Can't see it. I think-"
"Hold up! Pathfinder's calling me. Hey, Path! Um we're kind of close. Yeah, it'll take a few minutes to get there from where we are. Are you sure? Okay then! Bye!"
"Pathfinder called you?" Revenant questioned.
"Yeah, he wants us to meet the rest of the group at Bonsai Plaza. I'm not sure what we're doing, but he wants us there."
"Fine. I usually don't take orders; especially from another robot." Revenant began walking to a zip line.
"We're using a zip line?" I asked afraid.
"Yes. It's quicker."
"But are we really dressed to go on a zip line?"
"No one is under you."
"Haha. Real funny." I rolled my eyes.
"All you have to do is secure the harness around your chest which shouldn't take you too long, considering you've used one before." Revenant quickly began the process of preparing the zip line for use.
I stood there awkwardly. I've always been too intimidated to use the zip line.
"Skinsuit? You getting on or not? Are you waiting for me to carry you?"
"Um... I've never used the zip line if I'm being honest."
"Heh. At least I know your weaknesses now."
