I went to the food court to meet Revenant. In his hand, a chocolate ice cream cone.

"Skinsuit. You made it. Finally." He greeted.

"Happy to see you too, Revenant!" I smiled to him. With him around, I felt safe. That threat made to me earlier seemed like nothing.

Revenant led me to a booth and sat down with me.

"Thanks for the ice cream!" I said, chocolate running down the corners of my mouth.

"I can't stand you looking like that. Fix yourself." He demanded.

"What do you mean?" I tilted my head.

"Your mouth, idiot." He reached over the table with a napkin and wiped off the stuff on my face.

"Oh! Haha! Thanks!" I continued to eat my ice cream. "Hey, Revenant. Do you eat ice cream?"

"Look at my face." He said, very unamused.

"What? I'm serious!"

"I can't."

"You aren't even programmed to taste things?"

"Why would I be able to."

"For.. fun?"

"I don't have fun."

"With me you do!" I grinned. He rolled his eyes at me. "How about I describe it to you!" I exclaimed.

"Sure, skinbag. Give me your best."

"Okay- so chocolate tastes rich and sweet. It can be kind of bitter too. Imagine that in an ice cream form. It's cold and creamy. And the cone tastes very sweet and kind of warm! It also has a texture to it that adds to the experience overall. Could you taste it?"

"No."

"Sure you did!" I smiled. He sighed and looked around at the other things around the arcade.

"I want to beat you in another challenge." He said.

"Really?" I looked at him skeptically. "You've lost every time though." I flipped my hair jokingly.

"I'll win in this one." He pointed to a shooting game for two where you get to shoot at aliens.

"Okay!" I ran over to get the machine ready for us. Revenant followed behind and was getting ready to shoot his gun.

"You ready to lose?" He looked at me.

"You asking that for yourself?" I chuckled. I fixed my hair and got my gun ready.

"Oh no! An alien invasion! Please save us!" The arcade video game said.

"Three! Two! One! Shoot!" Our guns were now activated and the real game began.

Revenant began getting easy headshots and kills. The aliens were basically asking him to shoot them. My gun for some reason wasn't registering my shots for some reason.

"Hey, Revenant, I don't think my gun is working." I looked up to him.

"Too bad."

"I'm being serious!" I handed him my gun.

He sighed and tried shooting it, "It seems fine to me. You just need to hold it better."

"How?" I asked while he handed my gun back.

"Aren't you an Apex Legend? Shouldn't you know how to shoot a gun?" He crouched behind me, holding the gun within my hands. He wrapped his fingers around mine, his index overlapping my index. His left arm resting perfectly against my left arm. His body was basically hugging mine. His metal cheek touched my warm flesh. I began to blush- hard. I hope he couldn't notice.

"This is how you shoot." He said. He pushed down the trigger and shot a few aliens. It registered perfectly. I don't know how I held the gun any different, but, Revenant helped some how.

"You got that, skinbag?" He let go of me. My body missed his embrace...

"Um, yeah!" I laughed, aiming back at the screen. I was losing horribly, even though I had a little head start while Revenant was getting back to his gun.

The unknown threat that happen to me earlier did not really matter to me anymore. I was with Revenant. And... for some reason... I felt a certain type of happiness?

"The aliens are almost wiped out!" The video game said. I couldn't focus on the game anymore, my mind was just filled with Revenant and the feeling of him holding me.

"Are you paying attention, skinbag? You're just shooting at random things in the sky." Revenant nudged my shoulder.

"Oh! Yeah! Haha. I'm just pre-firing!" I attempted to save myself.

"Whatever suits you, legend." He said as he focused back onto his screen.

Suddenly, a giant boom echoed through the arcade. Revenant and I looked back at the same time.

What blinded our eyes was an airship, crashed into the ceiling. The driver of it was unknown, but we could both tell that it was coming for us.

"Hey, (Y/N)... I've come to scoop you up. Hammond Robotics needs you." The evil voice announced. I could feel the eyes of the other legends looking at me.

"Hammond?" Revenant looked down at me.

"I-I don't know?" I was confused on who this person was or why Hammond Robotics "needed" me.

"Wow, you are so stupid. Have you really not changed?" The voice yelled. That feeling felt familiar; the feeling of hating myself so much, crying so hard my throat feels like sandpaper and my head is pulsing with pain from all of that crying.

"Hello?! Are you going to come with me or not? Oh my fucking god. I'm sick of this shit. I'm letting these guys come in." The man signaled something. Or someone. Before we all knew it, all of the power in the arcade was shut off. The skylights were quickly covered with some opaque material. It was nothing but darkness.

"(Y/N)! Get down!" Bangalore yelled. I looked above me and saw some sort of bomb coming my way.

"Goddammit!" I heard Revenant say. The next thing I knew was that I was on the floor, with Revenant on top of me. "Are you alright?" He looked at me. I could tell that his look was filled with worry and sincerity.

Out of breath, I muttered a small yes.

"Fuck! So close. Get her again!" I could hear.

"They're coming in!" Wattson looked at the entrance; titan-looking robots were breaking in.

"Come here, skinsuit." Revenant grabbed me by my hand and ran into the family restroom. He locked the door, but continued to watch it carefully.

"Stay over there." He pointed to the corner, not taking his eyes off the entrance. I did as told and tried not to panic. I counted my breaths in my head and tried to slow them down.

"Damn idiots. Do you know who this person is?" He looked at me.

"No clue..." I admitted.

"Not even one person in mind?"

I thought about this for a bit. How could I relate the unknown number texting me and this person..?

Then it hit me.
