Substitute in Witchcraft

Substitutions in magic and spells are where you replace one ingredient in one spell with another due to the lack of the listed ingredient. This is often done when a witch doesn't have specific plants, herbs, or crystals on hand for when she casts a spell. This is a very common practice, especially when people are on a budget or are still "in the woods" and unable to source specific ingredients. And also for those who cannot have candles or incense due to allergies and those who have asthma. Candles and incense can be replaced with a spray bottle, for example.

1. Rosemary can be a replacement for any herb; frankincense for purification

2. White candles can be a replacement for any colored candles

3. Birthday candles can be used as candles for traveling or on a budget

4. Tobacco can replace any toxic herb

5. White quartz can be a replacement for any crystal.

6. Nag Champa can replace any incense

7. Incenses can be replaced with essential oils added with water in a bottle spray.

8. Elemental Candles can be replaced by using crystals and herbs (each herb and crystals associated with an element, for example, Oats element is earth, Basil element is fire; Clover is air while Grape element is water); you can also use the elements glyph sigils
