*The next day*

Y/n's pov:

I slowly woke up to see that Zoe had already gotten up. I looked around and saw a note on my nightstand.

Y/n: *Picks up note and reads it out loud* I had to get up early because I have a meeting with Erwin and Levi?... Huh... Well, I guess I should get up now as well.

I got up and changed into some casual wear with the scouts cape. I left my room 15 minutes later and ran into Eren. We almost bumped into each other.

Y/n: Oh! Hey Eren. *Smiles*

Eren: *Smiles back* Hey Y/n. What are you doing up this early?

Y/n: I just randomly woke up. I couldn't go back to sleep, so I just got up. What about you?

Eren: Oh. I got a note from Hange saying that she wanted both of us to meet her in Erwin's office. Look. *Shows note*

I quickly skimmed over the note. After that, we made our way to Erwin's office after that.

Y/n: So did you see everyone yesterday?

Eren: Actually, I saw Armin earlier. He told me who came here. I guess Annie was the only one in the top ten to join the Military Police.

Y/n: What about Marco? I thought he'd join the scouts like all of us, but I didn't see him last night.

Eren was silent for a minute.

Y/n: Eren? Did Armin tell you?

Eren... Marco died... Jean was the one that found him bitten in half...

I was at a loss after hearing this... I can't believe one of my friends died... I thought I did a good job helping the others.

Eren: Y/n! We're here.

I was snapped back into reality. I noticed that we were in front of Erwin's office.

Eren: Y/n? Are you good to go?

Y/n: Y-ya ya. Let's go.

Levi's pov:

We were talking about our upcoming mission, when we heard a knock. We all looked over before Hange spoke up.

Hange: Oh! That must be Y/n and Eren!

Levi: What the hell are they doing here?

Erwin: I had Hange invite them. We're going to tell them their locations in the upcoming mission so they know.

Levi: I understand Eren, but why Y/n?

Hange: Because he can be considered one of the strongest soldiers... Even stronger than you.

I don't know why, but that pissed me off a little bit after she said that.

Levi: Just bring them in here.

Erwin proceeded to yell to Eren and Y/n to enter his office.

Y/n's pov:

Erwin: Come in you two!

After we heard Erwin yell to us to come in, we entered. I saw that Levi was there also... But he was giving me a bit of a glare...

Eren: U-um... So why did you want to see us sir?

Erwin: We're here to discuss your positioning on the upcoming mission.

After he said this, I was confused.

Y/n: Wait... I understand why it's important for Eren, but why me?

Levi: That's what I said, but they insisted on you being here.
