Hange x Male Reader

The First Mission pt.2

Y/n pov:

Y/n: What the hell?! Is this what you wanted to show me?!

I don't think she heard me. She kept on riding closer to us, but that meant the Titans were also getting closer.

Hange: *Excited* This is what I wanted to show you Y/n! Look how these abnormal Titans here will follow anything they put their mind to! That means they do have some intelligence!

Moblit: Are you insane?! Why did you bring a horde of them to prove a point?!

Hange: I just meant to grab one or two of them! But one of them screamed and attracted the others and that was out of my hands!

Levi: Why did you think that was a good idea?!

Erwin: Arguing about this won't help! We need to try and split them up!

Hera: So we can take them on right commander?!

Levi: Of course that's what Erwin meant Hera! We'll suffer too many casualties trying to take them on like they are now!

Y/n: And I'm guessing we can't just ride back to the wall right?!

Hange: You're absolutely right Y/n! We need to take them out now and we can also look for a second specimen!

After Hange exclaimed that, Erwin proceeded to give out orders to split the Titans up and take them out while looking for a good test subject. Erwin also put us into groups of two so we wouldn't be bunched up, but we also wouldn't be alone. I was paired up with Hera, Erwin was with Levi, Hange was paired with Moblit and the other scouts paired up. Hera and I proceeded to take about four out of the 20 Titans that were chasing us.

Hera: So how do you wanna do this Y/n?

Y/n: I see two options... Our first is one of us is a distraction while the other takes them out. Our second is that we do a sort of tag team against them where we're both attacking.

Hera: I think the second one has a higher chance of succeeding, so let's do the second option!

Y/n: Alright, let's do this!

After we thought of a plan, we proceeded to take out the four Titans. Since we never worked together, we were slow for the first two, but we got the hang of each other's movements pretty quickly. Hera moved so quickly and she was almost as fast as Levi. I knew I was no match for her as of right now, but that didn't mean I wasn't going to give up on challenging her. After we took out the four Titans, we then noticed that Moblit was fighting two alone. We both went to help him.

Hera: Hey Moblit! Need some help?!

Moblit: Holy shit! Thank you so much! I thought I was going to die!

We were able to capture a seven-meter Titan. After we did, I looked for Hange, but I didn't see her

Y/n: Moblit, where's Hange?!

Moblit: She took the other two we had a little ways off to see if they were 'interesting' at all.

Hera: Let's focus on this other Titan first!

After Moblit reported that, I saw Hange in the distance. She seemed to be easily dodging them, but I went over there just in case. I didn't tell Hera and Moblit though, so I had no backup. After I got super close, Hange seemed to land on one of the Titan's heads. She seemed to be... Talking to it? But she was completely oblivious to the other Titan, which was reaching for her. I stood there for a second before my body started moving on its own. Before I knew it, I was flying towards Hange and pushing her out of the way.

Y/n: Hange! Look ou-!

Hange: *Shocked* H-huh?

I was able to push her out of the way, but I was the one grabbed instead. The Titan proceeded to just look at me while just squeezing me as hard as it could. I was struggling to breathe. I could see my vision fading while I heard a crack seemingly from my hand. The last thing I heard before I passed out was Hange screaming my name.

Hera's pov:

After Moblit and I were able to take out the second Titan, we both looked back to our captured Titan. We celebrated and gave each other a high five.

Hera: *Hyped* Hell Ya we did it!

Moblit: Yes! We make such a great team!

After he said this, I felt a slight blush come across my face. I would be lying if I said that I didn't have a small crush on Moblit.

Moblit: *Looking around confused* Hey... Where's Y/n?

After he said that, I was confused wondering where he went as well.

Hera: I... I don't know... Did he go look for Hange?

And just on cue, we heard Hange screaming. We both looked at each other, then followed the screaming. After we got there, we saw Hange screaming in both shock and terror while looking at a seven-meter Titan. I took a closer look to realize that Y/n was in the Titan's hands being crushed. I was also in complete shock and I just stood there. I quickly snapped out of it to realize that Moblit had gone to kill the Titan holding Y/n. I quickly went to kill the other Titan that was three meters tall and standing under the Titan holding Y/n. Moblit and I were able to kill the Titans at the same time. Moblit was able to catch Y/n before he hit the ground. I ran over to Hange to snap her out of her shock.

Hange: *Mumbling* Y-Y/n... N-no... *Tear falls* I-I haven't told you how I feel...

Hera: Hange! Snap out of it! Y/n is fine!

Hange: *Snapped out of it a little* W-what?

I didn't notice that Levi came over to Hange also.

Levi: *Looks at the unconscious Y/n* I don't know... He could've been crushed to death... I can't tell if he's breathing...

This put Hange into a panic. She started screaming and bawling after Levi made his remark. Moblit was able to calm her down though.

Moblit: I can feel a faint heartbeat! It also seems that he has a broken wrist!

After he stated this, it seemed that Hange finally calmed down. She still seemed to be in shock a bit, but she was better than before. We then loaded the second captured Titan, we then put Y/n in a wagon for him to relax. Hange stayed next to him the entire time. I heard her once in a while mumble "I'm sorry" and other things to him on the way back to the inner walls.

*Time skip to when everyone gets back into the walls*

Hera pov:

After we got back, Erwin ordered us to go take the captured Titans to the testing site. He also was able to get a few doctors to take Y/n to get real help.

Hera: Is he going to be okay?!

Doctor 1: He'll be fine. From what I'm being told, I'm guessing he has a fractured wrist and a few cracked ribs. I'd give him 4-6 weeks for him to be in good shape.

A/n: Don't worry! I did my research! :D

Hange: I'll stay with him and help!

Doctor 3: Are you sure Section Commander?

Hange: Yes. I am positive about this. I am the one to blame...

Doctor 2: Alright then. Please follow us.

Before she could leave, Erwin stopped her.

Erwin: Hange, don't beat yourself up over this.

Levi: Ya. Y/n will pull through.

Hange: *Tears up* B-but... I was the one who caused him to get hurt...

Hera: Oh come on Hange! Y/n did it for a good reason!

The others agreed with my statement. This made Hange start to cry a little bit.

Hange: *Sniff* T-thanks guys... *Sniff* I-I'll make sure to help him get back to 100 percent in no time!

We all then exchanged our goodbyes and went our separate ways.
