"IT'S FAKE."
After Zera said those words they cheered in joy, but it turns into horror after hearing gunshots. Mabilis na yumuko sila Alora at Calliope habang nag-aalala namang nakatingin si Lia na nasa loob ng sasakyan. Si Dearil na malapit lang kay Zera ay hinatak ito papunta sa pinaka-malapit na sasakyan.
"You know, you're such an idiot sometimes," Dearil said while firing a gun.
"And you, you're an idiot all the time." Nahihirapan na wika ni Zera kaya mabilis na lumingon ang kausap. Dearil cursed and tear a piece of his cloth to stop Zera's bleeding.
"Shit. Shit. Shit." Hindi alam ni Dearil kung ano ang uunahin n'ya.
"Relax, man. I'm not gonna die."
Sasagot na sana si Dearil ng marinig ang busina sa likod. Mabilis n'yang pinangko si Zera at isinakay sa back seat."I'm just behind you, okay? Don't die." Zera showed her middle finger, which lessens Dearil's worry a little.
After closing the car's door, Akuji quickly drove the car away. When he saw that they were far away enough, he rides his motorbike. Not before leaving a text message.
To: Dos and Tres
'Thana. Wounded. Ambush.'
Three words. One message. But makes the people who received the message blood boil.
KERES WAS BUSY finding guns in the shotgun seat while in the back seat, Thana was silent while Freyja could not help but feel scared because of the wound that Thana had sustained. Thana was the only calm of the four of them.
"Everyone, relax. We're not gonna die yet."
"Say that your fucking face." Everyone was surprised to hear Freyja cursed.
"So you can curse, huh?" Thana is smirking while playing with her gun.
"Sorry, this is just me panicking." Freyja's hands are shaking while preparing the tools to remove the bullet in Thana's right stomach.
After several minutes, Freyja couldn't stand Thana's frisky. "Stop playing with your fucking gun, and let me get the fucking bullet."
"Shut up." Ani Thana.
"We got a tail," Keres said while looking at the motorcycles that suddenly appeared in the back of the vehicle.
"I see." Akuji's only answer.
"If you can see it, why not make it fast?"
"Fuck off."
Keres groaned and looked at Akuji boredly. "They're beside us now, you wanna make it fast?"
"Why don't we exchange seats? You drive and I'll sit there." Naiinis na wika ni Akuji.
"No fucking way. Just make it faster."
"Shut up."
Keres rolled down the window beside her and shoot some goons. After running out of bullets she threw the gun at one of the goons' heads that luckily hits his head and tried to find a new gun.
"He's got a gun." Ani Freyja ng may biglang sumulpot na motorsiklo sa gilid n'ya at nakatutok ang baril sa kanya.
"Move." Ani Thana.
"Shoot him." Ani Akuji.
"Die motherfucker!" Ani Keres.
They breathed a sigh of relief as the number of those who followed them was reduced to only half.
"She okay?" Ani Akuji habang paminsan-minsang sumusulyap sa rear view mirror.
"She lost lots of blood." Tanging sagot ni Freyja.
"Keres." Tawag ni Thana at may ibinigay na cellophane mula sa dalang bag.
"What's this?" Binuksan ito ni Keres at inilabas ang laman.
"Oh!" Akuji screamed in disgust.
Isang cellphone, 10 fingers and 10 toes ang nasa loob ng cellophane.
"His finger is so long. I wonder if he plays piano," Keres mumbled. "What should I do with this?"
"Try to open the fucking phone." Keres nodded in response and tries every finger and toes to unlock the phone.
"What is that?" Akuji asked Keres.
"Finger?"
"Whose finger is that?" Tanong naman ni Akuji kay Thana.
"Some shitfaced."
"Did you cut it out?"
"No. Dearil did."
They all looked at her. Thana frown at Akuji's disgusted face.
"What do you want us to do? Bring his corpse with us?"
"You can just. Argh! Whatever."
Their car is definitely flying while trying to lose all the motorcycles. They find a dark alley and try to stop there for a moment.
"Did we lose them?" Akuji asked breathlessly as she wiped away the sweat. Wala pa mang nakakasagot ay may nakita na silang papalapit na motorsiklo.
"Goons. They are heading towards us." Mahinang bulong ni Freyja.
"Don't you fucking move!" Keres said as she saw that the cellphone was about to be unlocked.
"I think i need to puke." Ani Akuji habang naka-iwas ng tingin sa gawi ni Keres.
"You're not the one holding it," said Keres. "Got it. Go. Go. Go."
The car started moving quickly again, and Akuji was frustrated to see that there was no other way, but to enter the large under-construction building.
'It's dangerous, but we're gonna die anyways.'
She had no choice but to take that road and wish that no chopper would follow them. Upon entering the building, a chopper suddenly appeared as bullets rained down on them.
"Damn, am I curse?" Mahinang bulong ni Akuji.
Thana looked at the back and saw Dearil's motorbike nearby. Thana dialed his number. After a few rings, Dearil answered.
"You gotta lose that chopper," Thana said to Dearil. "Can you do that? Lose the chopper?"
Thana heard him laugh, "Can I lose the chopper?" The call ended and Dearil's motor was lost in her sight.
"Okay. Where the fuck is the exit?" Ani Akuji.
A few minutes they heard a loud explosion and saw the chopper exploded into pieces. They cheered and breathed a sigh of relief after exiting the under-construction building.Dalawang motorsiklo na lang ang nakasunod sa kanila at si Thana na lang ang may natitirang bala.
"Does your arm hurt?" Akuji asked while staring at Thana through the rearview mirror.
"No."
"Then can you use it to shoot them?"
"Sure. Drive faster, then stop at the darkest road."
Akuji followed Thana and stop in the middle of the road. Thana stepped out of the car and waited for the two motorcycles. She pointed the gun in the direction of the first motorcycle then, pulled the trigger and do the same thing to the other one.
The night that was filled with gunshots and explosions fell silent. As a cold wind blew on Thana's face, the dark surroundings didn't hinder her from seeing the remaining goons.
