SILENCE ENVELOPED US. Malayo ang kanilang mga tingin at tila napaka lalim ng iniisip. I sighed and began to step towards the door.
"Where are you going?" Calliope asked while holding my arm.
"Grocery Store." She nodded as she slowly released me.
"If you want to come, I'll wait in the living room," I said before finally leaving the room.
I waited a few minutes until they came down, wearing a mask and cap.
"You forgot." I thanked Alora before we leave the penthouse.
We took the elevator and hit the 1st floor. Pagkalabas ng hotel ay naghihintay na sa amin ang secretary ni Daddy.
"Ms. Hayden." Yumuko sya and handed the key to me. I thanked him before getting in the car. Nag-alangan pa ang tatlo kung sasakay sila kaya tumango ako.
"Are you sure you know where we are going?" Lia asked awkwardly while adjusting her seatbelt.
"Uso ang waze." Inirapan nya lamang ako at tumingin sa labas. Nilabas ko ang phone ko at nagsearch ng pinaka-malapit na grocery store sa amin.
I have already started maneuvering the car while following the direction on Waze. A few minutes later, we were inside. I grabbed a large pushcart while the three were behind me.
"What are we going to buy?" Lia asked excitedly.
"Food." Her face darkened, and Calliope stopped her before she can slap me.
"Stop it. Maraming tao dito." She said calmly. Lia took a deep breath and walked ahead of us.
"Do you know what to buy?" Calliope asked while looking at me. I was stunned, and it looks like she got it.
"Ako na ang mamimili." Kinuha nya ang push cart sa akin at hinayaan ko na lamang syang mamili habang nakasunod kami sa kanya at minsa'y naglalagay din ng mga pagkain magustuhan namin.
"How long will we stay here?" Alora asked weakly on me.
"Until everything goes well." We were silent, and she was about to speak when Calliope called us.
Nearly seven in the evening ng makauwi kami kaya nagpresinta si Calliope na magluto ng hapunan namin.
"Zera, can we talk?" Tinignan niya ko kaya wala kong ibang nagawa kundi ang sundan siya.
"What is your full name?" She asked while preparing the ingredients. Natahimik ako at pinag-iisipan ang sasabihin.
"I can't tell you that for now" Ngumiti siya at tumango. We remained silent until she finally broke it.
"Did you know? You remind me of someone. " I just kept quiet and waited for her to continue what she was going to say.
"You look exactly like her."
"Who?"
"My childhood best friend." Malungkot siyang ngumiti.
"Where is she now?" I stood up to help her set the table. She paused for a moment, and I saw the tears well up in her eyes.
"I don't know, One day I woke up, and they said she died. I could not even say goodbye." She said sadly.
"I'm sorry."
"No, no it's fine." She wiped the tears on her cheeks and turned her back on me.
"Paki tawag na lang yung dalawa para makakain na tayo." Tumango ako sa kanya at pinuntahan ang dalawa sa living room.
A few hours had past, I still could not sleep, so I decided to stay on the balcony while looking at the Moon and the Stars.
"Hey" I looked back and saw Alora holding a beer.
"Do you drink?" I nodded at her, she gave me one, and I gratefully accepted it.
"Why are you still awake?" She asked while looking at the moon.
"Can't sleep." Silence enveloped us.
"Who sent you here?"
"My Dad." She nodded and took a sip on her drink.
"I really don't want to go back here. But, I can do nothing."
"Why?" She looked at me and frowned.
"Why don't you?"
"I still can't face him." She said weakly.
"Why is that?"
"I promised him something that up until now is nothing." I nodded and tapped her on the shoulder.
"He might understand it." She sighed heavily. "I hope so."
"Are you fine to be alone here?" She nodded.
"I'll go first then." I once again tapped her shoulder.
I went into my room and still could not sleep so, I reached for my bag and looked for the bottle of pills. I was still hesitant about how many I would take and decided on just one. I reached for the water bottle on the nightstand table and took the pill before swallowing it. A few minutes later, I fell asleep and was greeted by a nightmare.
