Today I woke up to the my friend, Sam, spamming my phone. Sam's been one of my best friends ever since I ended up in Idaho. I was around sixteen when I ran away. And after three days of just constant driving, I ended up in Nampa, one of the more populated cities of the state, not my first choice, but I'm not complaining, and I decided to eat at a run-downed McDonald's. After ordering my food, I sat in one of the booths next to the bathrooms and just stared at the seat in front of me, wondering about what I'm going to do with my life now, knowing that I'll probably just end up working here and become something similar to a crack addict, but with knives instead of drugs, and suddenly a huge noise came from the entrance.

"Oh my god, GABE! That's so sad! I told you that he was no good for you!" It was a girl around my age, who was obviously drunk, bust opened the door with such force, I legit thought she was going to crack the glass walls with the door. She stumbled onto the counter and started yelling gibberish to... Gabe, I guessed.

After two minutes she hang up and tried to put her long blonde hair into a what I assumed was a ponytail. Her blue crop top was fairly dirty, probably from her trying to get here from wherever she came from. I was a good fifteen feet away and I could still smell the alcohol.

"Excuse me! Excuse me!" She raised her hand, trying to get the cashier's attention, even though she was already looking at her, "I would like a some fries please!"

I spaced out during their conversation so I wasn't sure exactly how the interaction went. However, about five minuets later, I was startled by a sudden shout from the drunk as she sat at my booth.

"Hey, gurl! How are you doing?" She giggled as she reached over the table to try to pat my head, but she ended up falling onto the table.

"Hey," I replied. A good minute later my order was ready and I quickly got up and picked it up, I wasn't at all in a talking mood, well honestly, I'm usually never am. However, the girl didn't seem to get the hint, or maybe she did but didn't cared, and staggered behind me as I left the place.

"My name's Sam! Well, actually, it's Samantha, but that name is way too plain and long, so everyone just calls me Sam." the girl slurred her words like a toddler would if they were trying to talk with no teeth. She walked in front of me and turned around to face me. She smelled and looked like she just took a swimming class in a pool of vodka. She smiled and tried to properly stand up, which seemed to be an extremely difficult task for her.

"Anyways, what's your name?" She asked. I knew that she was just trying to be nice and make some new friends for some reason, but her burst of energy and bubbliness just pissed me off.

"I don't know, try to guess, b*tch." I snarled as I walk around her to get to my car. Sam just turned around and pouted.

"Hey! that's rude!" She tapped my shoulder and I unwillingly turned around to face her. She must've been wearing three inch heels, but she was only to my shoulders. "Sorry, I can't hear you, you're too far down."

"Geez, I just want to ask you a question!" She pointed to the other side of the road, in which sat a giant hotel. "Do you mind if we book a room together? My driver bailed on me and my home is out of the city. We'll split it! I can't afford a whole night's rent."

I absolutely wanted to say no and book it, but I really missed having a bed. I know it's only been three days but I couldn't help it. I also hadn't showered in five, so that also played a huge factor. I rolled my eyes, already regretting what I was about to agree to, "Sure, whatever, as long as you take a godd*mn shower, you smell like if a gym and a bar had a baby."

"Oh thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!" She suddenly hugged me, which almost caused me to drop my food. She rushed to the crosswalk, not afraid at all of getting ran over, "I'll check us in! Meet you there, bestie!" And before I knew it, she was inside the hotel, leaving me alone in the parking lot with nothing but the noises from the cars that were passing by. What about your food, dumb*ss? I went back inside and behind the counter, the cashier was holding Sam's food.

"I'll give it to her." I said as I grabbed the food from the lady. She nodded in response and told me to have a goodnight, even though I highly doubted I would.
