At the table of Gryffindor, two twin redheads sat. Identical mischief-filled looks were spread across their faces. It was mail day, the owls were all flying in, delivering parcels and letters.

Or for the Weasley twins, a howler. A red, smoking howler.

They paled, knowing what it was likely about.

FRED! GEORGE! HOW DARE YOU FLY YOUR BROOMS IN THE GREAT HALL! I'M SURPRISED YOU'RE NOT EXPELLED YET! ARE YOU TRYING TO GET DETENTIONS?

Little did Mrs Weasley know they were trying to do exactly that. The were trying to beat the grand global  record the Marauders had set.

WHY CAN'T WE EVER HEAR GOOD NEWS ABOUT YOU TWO? ITS ALWAYS A LETTER HOME SAYING FRED AND GEORGE HAVE A DETENTION FOR THIS AND FRED AND GEORGE HAVE A DETENTION FOR THAT! WHY CAN'T YOU BE MORE LIKE PERCY?

The grimaced, glancing at one of their older brother, him puffing out his chest, displaying his prefect badge.

FROM NOW ON I ONLY WANT TO HEAR GOOD NEWS. Oh and Ginny dear, congratulations on making it into Gryffindor, your father and I are very proud of you.

And with that then howler shredded itself to thousands of tiny pieces, littering the table and the floor around them.

"Well, dear brother of mine, shall we go and see if we can earn another detention before the day is up?"

"Why yes, dear brother. I think we shall."

With a double shout of "Accio Fred and George's broomsticks!"
They jumped on and flew out the great hall with a puff of smoke behind them.

Mealtimes were always the most interesting times at Hogwarts.
