"How's Bella doing?"

"She's the same as she was the last couple of months Jake." Elena sighed. Jacob and Elena decided to ditch school and hang out at Jacob's house. Billy though gave the hint that if anyone were to ask him about the two teen's whereabouts he knows absolutely nothing.

"I can't believe they just ditched her like that." Jacob shook his head before his eyes widened, "and you also."

"It's fine Jake. Bell and I just have our own ways of dealing with it." Elena sighed before standing up. "Let's just forget about it. Come on, I feel like getting some pizza." Elena stretched her hand out to her best friend who chuckled before taking it and pulling himself up off of his seat.

"So, I was thinking if we're gonna do this every day, and hopefully we will, we're going to have to fit some homework in there somewhere, I don't want Billy thinking we're bad influences on you." Bella sat behind Jacob who was rebuilding one of the two motorcycles she had brought from a junkyard last week.

"I have no idea where you got the 'we' part for that sentence seeing as I am not the one who randomly showed up with broken death machines that need to be fixed." Elena pointed the spoon that she had been using to eat her pint of ice cream at her sister with a joking glare and a small smile.

Bella gave an awkward half smile before Jacob spoke. "The two of you, influence me? Please."

"We're literally older than you Black." Elena raised an eyebrow at the younger teen in front of her.

"That makes us the influencers and you the influencee." Bella let out a small chuckle.

Jacob lets out his laughter before turning towards Bella. "No, no, no. My size and knowledge base actually makes me older than you, because of your general paleness and lack of know-how." He turns back around to refocus his attention on the bike.

Elena starts laughing, Jacob did have a point. Bella was really pale.

"I convinced you to build two-wheeled death machines with me. Don't you think that kind of makes you young and naive?"

"Okay. So where do we stand?" Jacob turned back around to face the older swan twin.

"We're 35, you might be like 32." Elena laughed at her sister's choice of ages instead of a bigger difference she only chose 3 years.

"Come on." Jacob scoffed. He was almost ready to argue back when a knock on the door was heard and a boy's voice called out to Jake.

Elena stood up from her seat on a barrel across the room and closed her ice cream and set it down in her place as Bella reached for her backpack to leave.

"It's okay, it's just my boys." Jacob stood up to greet his two friends that let themselves into the garage.

"Hey Jake!"

"Guys this is Bella and Elena." Bella looked away awkwardly while Elena gave a small wave to their direction. "Girls, this is Quil and Embry." He motioned to the two boys in front of them.

"Hi, I'm Quil Atera." The boy with the short hair spoke to Bella making the older twin awkwardly smile to hide her laugh. Elena on the other hand had a little more difficulty as she actually let part of her laugh out before covering her mouth. This made both Quil and Embry look in her direction, Quil had an annoyed look in his eyes while it seemed Embry was doing his best not to laugh even harder and make his friend even more embarrassed than he already was.

"So the bike building story is true." Quil changed the subject.

"Oh yeah, yeah I taught him everything he knows." Bella had a hint of sarcasm in her voice as she attempted to make the joke.

"What about the part where you're his girlfriend." Quil smirked as he looked between the both of them.

Things were getting juicy so Elena had sat back down and was back to eating her ice cream as her eyes quickly switched between Jacob, Quil and Bella.

"Uh, we're friends you know." Bella answered awkwardly.

"Ooooh! Burn!" Embry exclaimed while he and quil laughed.

"Actually remember I said she's a girl and a friend." Jacob stammered out as he tried to explain himself.

"Embry do you remember him making that distinction?" Quil turned to the long haired boy next to him.

"Nope." Embry smiled. He was clearly enjoying making his friend suffer in front of his crush. Elena just giggled causing Embry to look her way, the two smiled at each other before turning their attention to Bella who started speaking.

"So you guys have girlfriends? That's awesome." She spoke with a hint of annoyance. This caused Jacob to laugh and the two newcomers immediately went defensive.

"Yeah, right. Quil's actually taking his cousin to prom." Embry and Jacob now started laughing together.

"Yeah, that's still alright. You want funny, Black? I'll give you funny." Quil went at Jacob and the two started wrestling in the garage. Embry made his way out of the area and pulled Elena with him right before the two teenagers knocked over the barrel she was just sitting on.

"Rude." She scoffed before placing another spoonful of ice cream in her mouth.

"I got five bucks on Quil." Embry challenged the twins.

"You're on." The girls said back in unison, neither taking their eyes off of the two on the ground in front of them.

Bella looked up at her sister. "What flavor is that?"

"Cookies and Creme." Elena replied back as she took another spoonful and put it in her mouth, her eyes never leaving her best friend hoping she would win five dollars from this fight.

"Give me some." Bella reached over and Elena yanked the pint away from her sister's reach.

"No! You should've got your own! This one is mine!" Elena glared at her sister.

"Seriously El? Just hand it over." Bella stood up this time.

"No, Mine!" Elena took off running around the garage-careful to avoid Quil and Jacob-trying to get her sister away from stealing her happiness. Embry immediately started laughing as he watched Bella try to get the tiniest bit of ice cream from her sister while avoiding Jacob and Quil who were in their own little battle.

Embry couldn't help but smile wider as Elena laughed. It sounded like music to his ears and he never wanted it to stop playing.

I'm so sorry for the long wait but I am hoping I can finish this book as soon as possible seeing as so many people like it. I hope I can make you all proud. I also hope my writing didn't get worse while being MIA. Love y'all!
