"We're going to see Jake!"

Bella barged into her sister's room. Jacob Black had been avoiding the Swan Twins and neither were happy about it. Charlie could see both girls were slowly going back into their depressive state. He had tried suggesting he stayed home but with Harry's reassurance both girls told him to go fishing, that he needed some time to relax.

"Bella if he doesn't want to see us then we can't force him to." Elena spoke to her sister. Elena had just been sitting in her chair playing with her J necklace. A habit she started when she's anxious about something. Of course she missed her best friend. Having being left three times by people who were supposed to be there for her killed her inside. But she knew she couldn't force anyone to do something they didn't want to.

"He can't do this to us! Its not fair!"

"Life isn't fair Bella!" Elena stood up and stared at her sister who took a step back in surprise. Elena was never one to get angry about something, always level-headed when needed be. "Edward left! Yes! But Jasper left too! The Cullen's didn't just leave you Bella! They left me as well! Did I go into a depressive state? No! I stayed here because our father needed us. Just like we needed him. I didn't shut everyone out like you did Bells! Because Life goes on! I went to Jacob to cope with it and he helped me, a lot. You came along and seeing you come out of depression was so exciting, because for a second I thought we could just try to pretend like maybe they were never here, maybe we could move on. Bella at least you got a goodbye! Do you know what I got?" Elena grabbed the note she left under her pillow and held it up for her sister to see. "A note Bells. Jasper left me a god damn note because he couldn't bear to face me in person and tell me why they were leaving. At least you got to see Edward. I didn't get to see Jasper. I'm breaking inside Bella! Jasper left! His family left! Embry left! Jacob left! You think you're the only one hurting Bella? Well so am I! But I'm the one who has to be strong, for us! Because I need you Bella. I needed my sister and she was in such a bad state she wouldn't talk to me or anyone for months! This doesn't just affect you Bella! It hurts me too!"

Bella stood in shock. The twins had never fought before. Bella stood silent taking in everything Elena just told her. She didn't know Jasper hadn't spoken to her sister before he left. Suddenly Bella could feel all of the pain radiating off of her younger sister. She was always the strong one. Moving had been Bella's idea but Elena went with it. Elena had always played the supporting role to her big sister and now it was Bella's turn.

"Elena, I-I didn't know." Bella whispered.

"Of course you didn't! Because I didn't want you to know! You were already in such a bad state, one of us had to be okay. For dad." Elena had tears falling from her eyes but whenever she wiped them away, more came back in its place.

Bella stepped forward and pulled her sister into her arms. "I'm so sorry Elena." Bella hugged her sister tight and the two girls cried into each other's arms.

"Me too Bells." Elena pulled away and wiped her eyes.

"If you want, I'll kick Jasper's ass the next time we see him." Bella held a soft smile trying to make her sister laugh. It worked.

"Sure Bells. If we ever see him again, I'll hold him down and you can have at him." Both girls laughed together and held each other a little while longer. They pulled away once they heard the crack of thunder and saw the rain pouring down.

"I know who we can see to kick hiss ass." Elena smirked at her sister. "Lets go see Jake." Elena grabbed her jacket and dragged her to the truck and the two girls set off to go find their best friend.

The rain was pouring down as the girls pulled up in the orange truck to the Black Household. The Twins could see Jacob walking by, shirtless. His hair had been chopped off and he was wearing nothing but jean cut off shorts and shoes. Immediately Elena thought's went to Sam and his crew.

The girls hopped out of the truck screaming his name. "Jake! Hey!" Bella was faster than Elena as she ran up to Jacob with Elena right behind her. "You cut your hair off? And got a tattoo?" Jacob looked directly at Bella but Elena could see the slight disappointment in his eyes. Then he turned to Elena who yelled just as loud.

"We thought you were too sick to come outside?!" Elena glared at him.

"Or pick up the phone when we call!"

"Go away." He spoke. The rain around the trio was loud and soaking them by the minute.

"What?" Bella asked taken aback.

"No. Absolutely not Jake!" Elena took a step forward.

"What happened to you?! Whats wrong?" Bella asked.

"Hey!" Both girls grabbed his arm to stop him from turning around and leaving. Again.

"You can't just ignore us Jake!" Elena was furious.

"Did Sam get to you?" Bella asked. "Is that what's happening?"

Jacob immediately went on the defense. "Sam is trying to help me. Don't blame him. If you want somebody to blame, how about those filthy bloodsuckers you both love?" He glared between the two girls. Elena stepped back from all the hatred she was feeling.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Elena stood next to her sister.

"No, you both know exactly what I'm talking about! You've been lying to everyone. To Charlie. But you can't lie to me. Not anymore."

Just then a voice was heard shouting over the rain. Elena looked over Jacob's shoulder to see whom she would assume was Sam Uley and friends. He waved his arm calling Jacob over to them. She could faintly see Embry and Paul the two members of the group she had met already.

"We can't be friends anymore." Elena could feel her heart breaking. Is this what she would've felt if Jasper had spoken to her instead of leaving a note? Would she have ended up just like Bella?

"Its not you it's me right? Right?" Bella asked.

"It's true. It is me, I'm not good. I used to be, a good kid. Not anymore. This doesn't even matter alright? This is not over." Jacob was hurting. He hated to see the two girls he loved hurt, by his actions. He had no choice. Just how Embry left, he knew he had to as well. To keep them out of danger.

"You can't break up with me!" Bella yelled then stopped herself.

"You're my best friend Jacob. You know what we went through. You were there for us! And you're just going to leave us just like they did! You're supposed to be better than everyone Jake! Now you're acting just like them. You promised you wouldn't leave." Elena was full on crying now. Her world was falling apart. Her lover left and now her best friend as well. She didn't know how much heartbreak she could take but she was super close to finding out.

"I promised I'd never hurt you. The both of you. This is me keeping that promise. Go home. And don't come back or you're gonna get hurt." He looked at both girls and started to walk away.

"I promise you that if you do this I can't forgive you." Elena called out to him. He was halfway between The girls and the boys. He stopped but didn't look back. He knew he broke the younger girl more than she had ever needed but it was required of him. He could potentially put them in danger and he couldn't risk it. He didn't want what happened to Emily, to happen to Bella or Elena. He wouldn't be able to live with himself.
