Emily finished braiding her hair and headed out of the room pulling her suitcase behind her. It was time to head home for a week before flying back here again for the start of the season.

She was still pissed off about what Seb had tried to pull the night before. Yes, he was an attractive man but she had morals. There was no way she was getting involved with a married man. The arrogance of the man! He'd even tried to say his marriage was over. Well, why was he wearing a ring then? Did he think she was an idiot?

She met Joel and Harry down in the lobby. Joel could instantly see she was pissed off about something.

"Harry can you give us a minute please mate?" Harry nodded and drifted over to talk to Kara and Ian.

"What's wrong Ems? You look pissed off." She didn't know whether to tell him or not. She didn't want him to confront Seb and make things worse. But if she didn't tell him he would just keep badgering her.

"Last night, Seb asked if he could kiss me." Joel's eyes widened in surprise. He hadn't been expecting that!

"What did you say?"

"No of course. He's married! Been there and done that once before, not that I knew at the time. He tried to tell me his marriage is over. I'm not falling for that bullshit again after Chris."

"Are you sure he wasn't telling you the truth?"

"I can't believe this. Are you sticking up for him?"

"No Ems, I'm just saying that sometimes things are not as they seem."

"Yeah, well I'm not taking that risk. He can go find someone else to kiss."

"Fair enough sis. Just forget about it. I'm sure he won't sniff around you again now he knows he doesn't have a chance."

"If he does he'll get a kick in the nuts." Joel laughed at his sister's temper. She was so quiet normally, but was a little firecracker when she was angry. He spotted Seb approaching out of the corner of his eye.

"Shh, he's heading this way!" Emily turned and spotted him.

"I'm out of here. I don't want to talk to him." It was too late. He was there.

"Good morning Joel. May I have a word with Emily please?"

"Sure. Ems I'll be over with Harry."
Emily scowled. She was going to kill him for leaving her.

"I want to apologise for last night Emily. I was out of order. I should have at least gotten to know you before asking to kiss you. "

"Should have remembered your wife too I should think."

"Emily, look, what I said was true. Carla and I separated before Christmas. We've just never told the press. That can be rectified. I will call her later. "

"Makes no difference to me. I'm not interested."

"Oh come off it," he retorted, arrogantly. "You know as well as I do that you want me. I can see it in your eyes Emily. Take a chance. We could really enjoy each other. I can't promise you a relationship. But I can promise you a good time."

"Of all the cocky, smug..."

"Emily, please. Just think about it. I want you. I've wanted you for a long time but have never been free to have you."

"And you're not having me now! Do you think I'm gonna drop my pants and spread my legs just because you spin me some line about wanting me? Not happening, so back off sunshine."

She turned on her heel and stomped off to join her brother, leaving Seb totally lost for words. Damn, she was feisty. Her rejection fuelled his desire for her even more . And he knew she was in denial. He hadn't been lying when he had said he could see in her eyes that she wanted him. He cursed at himself. He knew he had gone about it all wrong. He couldn't take that back now, and he doubted if she would listen to another apology the mood she was in. He knew that he would have to give her time before approaching her again. Perhaps after the first race? He headed back to where he'd left Antti.

"You just got rejected again, didn't you?" Antti smirked at his boss.

"Shut it," Seb snarled. Antti grinned to himself. Seb had got it bad for this girl. Britta exited the elevator, dragging her case behind.

"I'm sorry I'm late guys, come on let's get out of here."

"Emily, come on. Just forget it. He won't dare approach you now. Just put it behind you and move on. You've got to work with him so you need to be able to be civil."

"I know Joel but he makes me so cross. What a nerve! He obviously thinks that he's God's gift to women. That he's only got to snap his fingers and I'll come running. Well, he's got another think coming. No way am I going there. Not even if he was the last man on earth!"

Joel had to stop himself from laughing. He knew his sister too well. She fancied Seb big time. She just didn't want to risk her heart again. Chris had left her shattered and unable to trust another man. Plenty had tried, all had failed.

They climbed onto the coach that was transporting them to the airport. Another week and they would be coming back. He hoped that she'd be able to control her temper around Seb. He hoped Seb wouldn't push his luck any further. Surely Emily had made it clear she didn't want to take things further.

He wondered if Seb was telling the truth about his marriage. Surely if he had split with his wife then they should have announced it. Perhaps Emily was right. Perhaps he was just another married man trying to get his leg over. He wasn't 100% sure that Emily would be able to resist if Seb kept on pursuing her. All Joel knew for sure was Seb had better not hurt his sister. If he did he would have him to deal with. He had to put her back together after Chris and he didn't want to have to do it again.

He worried about her all the time. It was only natural. She was his only sister. They'd been everything to each other since their mum had died when they were 15 and their dad had had a breakdown.

Now at 28, they were closer than ever. He wasn't going to stand by and let anyone treat her like a fool. Not even Sebastian Vettel. He was going to be keeping a close eye on him.
