22. A Night to Remember...And To Forget

Seb was hunting everywhere for Emily after the debrief. He wanted to thank her personally, alone, for her hard work that weekend. Her strategy had been spot on, not that he was surprised.

He looked in the garage, she wasn't there. She wasn't in hospitality either. Where had she gone? He saw Joe passing by.

"Joe, have you seen Emily anywhere?" he asked.

"Yeah, she went home. Her, Kara and Demi have gone to make themselves beautiful for tonight," he said.

Seb sighed. He'd really wanted to talk to her. He guessed he'd have to wait. It was only a couple of hours until the party. It was being held at the golf club just over the road from the circuit. He was staying at the circuit hotel so he didn't have far to travel.

He headed back to his room and decided to have a nap before getting ready.

"Oh my God Emily, that dress is stunning!" Demi exclaimed. "You are going to be the belle of the ball!"

"You two are going to be just as stunning. Wait til the guys get a load of us!" Emily said.

"So is there any of the guys that you're trying to impress?" Demi asked. Kara laughed.

"There's only one guy for me. It's all become a bit of a joke but I really do like Harry. We're both too shy to ask the other out. I'm going to have some drinks for courage and I'm going to do it tonight."

"You go girl," said Emily encouragingly.

"What about you Demi?" Kara asked. Demi blushed.

"I can't say."

"Come on. "

"Don't laugh. I kinda like Joel."

Emily nearly choked on her drink.

"Joel? Oh my God. Demi, you two would be perfect together. Why have I never seen this before? Kara, we need to get these two together!"

"Well, what about you Emily?"

" There's no one." she mumbled.

"I forgot, you're having a fling with Charles aren't you?"laughed Kara.

"Piss off," laughed Emily.

"Is he a good kisser?" asked Demi.

"Not bad, had better." They all started giggling.

"OK, best kiss you ever had?"

"In the pouring rain , up against a car."

"Oh my, sounds sexy."

"It was one of the most erotic moments of my life."

"Who was he Emily? Was it recently?"

"You don't need to know," she said turning red.

"Oh my God, is it someone from work? It is, isn't it?" shrieked Demi. Kara just looked at Emily, raising an eyebrow. She knew very well who it was, but she wasn't going to drop Emily in it. It was Emily's secret to tell.

"OK Demi, can I trust you? This goes no further,OK?" The girl nodded in agreement.

"It was Seb."

"Seb? Our Seb? Seb Vettel? Oh my God," she shrieked. "Did you do it?" Kara burst out laughing.

"No," said Emily. "We didn't, just kissing."

"Are you going to?"

"Pretty sure not. It's all done and dusted."
