Y/n went home shortly after, leaving Atsumu alone to think.

'I missed my chance— wait she..actually likes me back?!' he thought, immediately regretting what he said. "Where's my phone..?" he mumbled, fumbling around as he reached to his pockets, getting his phone as he called Osamu.

"Hello—"

"I'm such a dumbass."

"I know? If you're just going to tell me something I didn't know since I started to think then hang up."

"Okay! No need to be rude..but uh Y/n actually just told me she..likes me." he only heard Osamu take a deep breath. "Don't tell me you just rejected her.."

"But what happened a few days ago— tell me I lost my chance, just say it."

"I'm not going to say it, just hurry up and come home you idiot." Osamu hung up as Atsumu stood up. "I'm such an idiot.."

Later that day the two knocked on the door, waiting patiently for it to open. "Oh! Hello, the twins are in their room, i'm making a cake if you'd like some later on." their mother said, letting the two inside. "I wouldn't mind having some." Y/n said as her and Suna rushed over to the twins room door, looking at each other as they quickly opened it.

"Please forget what you both saw!" Suna and Y/n both said, looking at the twins. Suna felt a bit angry at himself for letting it happen but moved on from it because he hoped to never make the same mistake for falling for a girl who never looked his way in the first place.

"We did, until you brought it up again." Osamu tried to joke as the two only sighed, sitting in front of the twins. "Oh..okay." it was silent until Osamu spoke up. "So you two aren't dating?"

"No, it was just a mishap.." Y/n said, taking small glances at Atsumu. Suna and Osamu took notice of it.

"Ah okay, well..Mario Kart?" Osamu passed the two extra controllers as Y/n sat next to Osamu, taking notice of it, looking at his brother while Suna sat next to him. "How about we switch characters?" Y/n suggested at the loading screen appeared.

"But you pick the bad characters." Osamu said. "Peach and Rosalina aren't bad characters!"

"You also like Rainbow Road.."

"Rainbow Road is easy! Just because you can't win doesn't mean you can— just pick the map!" Y/n sat straight, watching the screen as they were choosing each other's players.

Osamu suddenly regretted agreeing to Y/n. "No, i'm not playing with Peach as my character." he tried switching controllers with Y/n but she gripped the controller hard enough for him to give up. "How much strength do you have..?"

"I got Shy Guy." Suna announced. "Bowser?! Can I get Daisy 'Samu."

"Y/n has Daisy."

"Press start!" the four then turned their heads towards the screen, all sitting straight as their eyes were locked on to the tv. The door quietly opened, revealing the twins mom holding a tray of cake. "Oh you guys are playing, i'll set it aside for later."

"First place gets two slices."

"Deal!"

Osamu of course won.

The three were looking at him as if he murder someone. "You used the blue shell..I was this close Osamu!" Y/n used her fingers to show how close she was to winning. "Yeah! The shell hit me in the process!" Atsumu pouted, taking a bite of his cake as his mother ruffled his hair.

"Maybe you'll win next time..in a few years."

"Damn."

"I'm your own son!"

"Sometimes it's okay to loose, it's apart of the process Atsumu."
