The next few days at school were a bit awkward for the two. She hoped she could just erase his memory from that day so it wouldn't be so weird when they met eyes. But she always had a gut feeling he liked her back, so that look in his eye, what was it? And why did it feel like he lied?

The group was sitting at the lunch table, they sat in their regular seats, Y/n next to Atsumu and Osamu next to Suna though usually Y/n and Atsumu would be touching shoulders but today they weren't, they weren't even touching knees. It kinda took a toll on her, wishing the words she said that day never came out her mouth.

She noticed how he distant himself from her time to time and how he'd only talk to her if he needed a pencil or an answer to a question that he had on his homework. She felt as if she did it to herself, she knew that if she were to ever tell him about her feelings that their relationship would tear apart slowly until the two never talked again.

She felt as if it were her fault.

He felt so stupid. He couldn't bring himself to tell her how he felt as the school year started to end. He knew they had their third year left but she was leaving right after. He told himself that he should be able to ask her out, knowing that she returned the feelings but he was hung up on the fact that she could say no just like he did.

He knew he should've told her that he liked her, he tried to plan out when and where to ask her out but he took note how she was distancing herself from him. She'd only talk to him if he had a piece of paper of if Osamu made extra food. He felt guilty, knowing he was the reason of their distance.

Osamu could not take it anymore.

Telling his brother that he should've said yes and that he still has a chance. He told him that he could still ask her, not knowing what's stopping Atsumu from doing so. Atsumu only responded with, "I don't even know myself."

"You're helpless..i'm going to make myself a sandwich." Osamu would tell him, leaving Atsumu alone in their room as the tv played in the background. It was the same movie Y/n and him watched a few days ago. He paid more attention to it, wondering if they'll have the same ending as the characters in the movie.

He didn't want that but he couldn't bring up the courage to ask her out. He felt like a child stuck trying to figure out what's the difference in why words had "ph" in them instead of "f".

Suna tried helping Y/n, asking her if she ate, giving her comfort when she didn't ask for it. She knew that he liked her and he knew that she liked Atsumu but that never tore their friendship apart. That day at the arcade, Suna had told her how he felt, telling her that it was okay that she didn't feel the same.

She told him that she was sorry many times, that she shouldn't use someone, especially her close friend. He accepted, telling her that it was fine and hoped that they could move on from the mistake, saying that he wanted their friendship more than anything. She agreed with him.

Time had came quick, not realizing that their second year was almost done in a few days. It was Thursday, their last Thursday before school ended, the group had decided to spend the rest of the day at the park, it was Osamu's idea.

They all ran towards the two empty swings, shoving each other around until one or the other had sat on them. They took turn every five minutes, going on a race with the other, seeing who would go the highest. There wasn't any specific reward but Y/n suggested that the loser had to buy everyone ice cream. Out of the four, Suna definitely was not the loser.

Everyone knew that Suna would be a try hard on the swings, especially if ice cream was the reward. Osamu came in second as Y/n came in third. They were laughing at Atsumu, knowing he was going broke as he'd always loose every bet they made.

They reached the ice cream shop, all going inside as the three sat down, giving Atsumu their favorite flavors. "I'm tired!" Suna said, yawning a bit after as he laid his head on his arms. "Me too. Can you believe it? We're going to be third years— Aran and Kita are leaving." Y/n came to the conclusion that she would miss her favorite third years.

"Don't remind me, i'll actually miss them." Osamu said while Atsumu quickly came back. "Wait careful, it's wet—" he slipped on water, the ice creams falling out of his hands as they laughed, trying to help him up but he told them that he didn't need any help and that he wanted to go home.

"You're just to clumsy 'Tsumu."

"Let's just go home.."
