fourteen

the next morning hyejin woke up to the sound of her phone's alarm. i don't want to go to chool. she thought, but eventually sat up.

she rubbed her eyes and yawned, streching her arms. she got out of bed and took a hot shower. it was 7:15 in the morning and she didn't start school until 9:15.

then she picked out her outfit; baggy jeans with a black crop top, and with her red converse. she put on her favorite necklace and brushed her hair.

she went downstairs. his mom left a note on the fridge;

i won't be home until 10, make something for dinner, have a nice day sweetie and remember to smile :)

hyejin smiled at the note, then filled her bottle with cold water. she even put ice in it. the weather was nice, sunny, so she didn't have to put on a hoodie.

she locked the door behind herself, put her earphones in her ears, but just as she started playing the music, she felt someone tapping on her shoulder.

she turned around and saw taehyun in a white hoodie and black jeans, paired with his black vans. he looked fresh and happy as he was smiling brightly at hyejin.

"hey! wanna go to school together again?" he asked.

"yes, of course, do you want to listed to music?"

"hell yeah!" is all taehyun said before putting one of hyejin's earphones into his ears.

they were walking towards the bus stop listening to 'can i call you tonight'. both of them loved the song, so they were singing, not caring about other people.

when the bus came they sat down at the back, at their usual place, and hyejin was feeling happy. to be honest, she always felt happy with taehyun. he was a great friend even tho, they weren't that close.

"hey, did you do the homework?" taehyun asked suddenly.

"yes, why? do you want it?" hyejin asked giggling.

"yes..." taehyun said.

hyejin smiled, then pulled out her biology notebook from her black backpack. she gave it to taehyun, who quickly srated copying hyejin's homework.

she chuckled, then turned away, facing the window. everything was green, the sun was shining so brightly, she had to squint. it was finally friday.

she just remembered, she had to tutor taehyun, but she didn't feel bad about that, actually, she thought, taehyun and her can became closer friends.

"hey, are you still free today?" she asked the red haired boy who just finished the homework.

"um... why?" taehyun asked, confused.

"the tutoring..."

"ah, yes, i can come over after school if that's okay?" he asked, handing hyejin's notebook back to her.

"thank you." she said putting the notebook away. "yes, my mom won't come home until ten, so."

"okay." taehyun said, smiling.

they reached the school, they were now walking towards the entrance when they saw the three other boys sitting at one of the tables under a big tree.
