thirteen

they ordered food, beomgyu and hyejin were eating the pizza, more like beomgyu was eating, hyejin ate one slice of it. she was hungry but didn't want to eat.

and they were talking. hyejin noticed that beomgyu was eating like he hadn't eaten for a week.

she found it weird but ignored it and was drinking water from a bottle when a loud tunder broke the silence between them. hyejin startled, but tried to hide her emotions infront of beomgyu.

beomgyu noticed that something is wrong with her so he stopped eating.

"are you okay?" he asked.

"y-yes of course, eat." hyejin said with a reassuring smile, but when she heard another thunder, she covered her ears and started tearing up.

beomgyu noticed that so he washed his hands as fast as he could then went to hyejin and placed one of his hands on her back.

he wanted to make her feel comfortable and not scared but he thought hugging her would be too much because he knew her for literally two days.

but when she heard a louder thunder she started shaking then fell of the chair. beomgyu tried to stay calm and when both of them were sitting on the floor, hyejin's tears were streaming down her face, he decided to hug her.

beomgyu hugged hyejin tightly making sure it wasn't uncomfortable for her. hyejin moved and beomgyu thought she didn't want him to hug her so he stopped hugging hyejin.

"n-no, hug me, i-it was nice..." hyejin whispered but beongyu could clearly hear her voice.

"okay..." he said then pulled her into his embrace. "it's okay, everything's going to be okay... i'm here. i wont leave, i'm here..." beomgyu said quietly, almost whispering.

they sat there for a while and hyejin's heart was beating fast. the soft touch of beogyu's hands and his tight hug gave her butterflies in her stomach.

she couldn't explain it why, she was just happy beomgyu is there for her. they were now sitting in the living room on the couch.

hyejin was freezing, so beomgyu went up to her room and made sure to pick out the most comfortable and warmest hoodie for hyejin.

she was wearing her big, warm, purple hoodie, her favorite. bemgyu was sitting next to her, looking at her. beomgyu's gaze went from hyejin's hair to her hands and then looked in her eyes.

he found her incredibly pretty and he didn't realize that he was staring at her.

"what?" hyejin suddenly asked.

"nothing..."

"beomgyu, you were literally staring at me!"

"no i wasn't staring at you!"

"yes you were..." hyejin said looking angry, but she just wanted to tease beomgyu.

"no, hyejin... i wasn't..." beomgyu said, then pouted.

hyejin couldn't hold in her laugh, so she started laughing and clapping. beomgyu tried to pout more and look sad but he couldn't, so now both of them were laughing literally on the floor.

they didn't even know what was so funny, they were just laughing. both of them were having fun, until beomgyu's phone started ringing.

"hello?" beomgyu asked after he picked up his phone.

hyejin could hear yelling, and furrowed her eyebrows, looking at beomgyu.

"y-yes, no, i'm with taehyun-" beomgyu said.

now hyejin was more confused than before and didn't know what to say.

"o-okay, i'm coming." beomgyu said then hung up the phone.

"who was that?" hyejin asked, but beomgyu stood up from the floor, ignoring her question.

"beomgyu, don't go away, answer me! this person was yelling at you!" hyejin said.

"you don't have to worry about it." beomgyu said with a big smile, but hyejin knew it was a fake one.

she just nodded because she didn't want to force him to talk. if he's ready, he will tell her. and she will wait patiently.

beomgyu quickly ran upstairs and packed his stuff he left in hyejin's room. he wanted to go home as soon as possible.

"i'm sorry, i would stay but i have to go..." said beomgyu with sad eyes.

"it's okay! please take care of yourself! see you tomorrow?" hyejin asked with a smile.

"see you tomorrow." then beomgyu waved at hyejin one more time, then left the house...

then the street... and hyejin felt... empty? she felt like another half of her just left her. she didn't know what she felt so she ignored it.

the rain stopped, so she could sleep in peace. she took a shower before going to bed, her mom got home after she fell asleep, but mina made sure to give her daughter a goodnight kiss on her forehead.
