Chapter 9

Anabella's Pov

December 17th- Ski Trip Day 1, 6am

It was early when everyone got to school and got on the bus to travel to the ski resort. I rested my head on Joey's shoulder tiredly as our chaperone Mr. Benett was doing a headacheck to make sure everyone who signed up made it onto the bus.

"I'm so glad that you are here Baby," Joey said softly, putting his arm around me.

"I can't believe I got to come," I said happily," I can't wait to learn how to ski."

"I can teach you, but you may want to take a class for beginners too," he said.

"I will," I said," I just want to get to spend some time with you."

"There will be plenty of time for us to spend together," he promised and kissed my head.

9am

When we got to the ski resort, we all climbed off the bus and got our bags from underneath the bus. Mr. Benett was assigning rooms after he had checked us in and was handing out the room keys.

"We are roomies!" Heather squealed excitedly holding up the room keys, she handed one of the keys to me.

"I'll catch you later out on the Bunny Slopes," Joe said with a smile as he leaned in and kissed me.

I kissed him back," Okay see you out there," I said.

"Babe. I'm going snowboarding," John said to Heather.

"Unbelievable," she muttered as we went to our room together.

"I know you are a more experienced skier than me, but do you want to hang out with Joey and me?" I asked my best friend.

"I think I might have to, it won't be fun skiing alone on the advanced runs," Heather said sadly.

Once inside the room, we shut the door and began to get ready for the skiing. After getting dressed for the cold, we went to ski shop and rented skies and poles. Joey met us at the ski shop.

"Ready to learn?" He asked me.

"Yeah. Heather is going to ski with us," I said.

"That's cool," he said.

Our classmates began to head outside and we got our ski lift tickets and Heather and Joey showed me how to get on. Once I was seated beside Joey, Heather on the seat behind us, I felt excited. " I can't believe I 'm really going to be skiing," I said in amazement.

"It's easy once you get the hang of it," Joey said.

We reached the top of the run and climbed down, Joey showed me how to stand with the skies and poles. He began to explain all about skiing and what I needed to do and how to fall. I tentatively began to ski down the slope, I managed to handle the poles and skies well, I almost fell though and caught my balance.

12pm

We stayed out on the slopes until lunch time, the resort had a few restaurants that we could eat at. Instead of having a nice lunch together, John and I were arguing so much for our romantic ski trip.

"I didn't come on this trip for you to go snowboarding all morning with your buddies!" I exclaimed.

"I can't spend all my time with you Baby, my friends want to spend time with me too," he argued.
