Chapter 6: Permission To Ski

Chapter 6

Heather's Pov

I jumped up off of Anabella's bed," It's about damn time one of you made a move. THANK YOU!" I said to her.

"Except there's one teeny tiny problem," Anabella said softly to me.

"Oh?" I said curiously looking at my sister friend.

"So Joey is going on that class trip," she said.

"Yeah! John and I are going too or well I'm going! I might have to drag him with the way he's behaving," I grumbled.

"Joey wants me to go too, but you know that my parents will not give in on this one," she said sadly.

"It's chaperoned what's the big deal? A teacher is going, one of the coolest teachers we have at Catholic Memorial," I reminded her.

Our teacher Carlilse Bennett was going to be our chaperone for this trip, he was a favorite at Catholic Memorial.

The type of teacher who understood when the class didn't need too much homework but just enough homework for the school administration not to think we weren't learning. Cool enough to volunteer to chaperone the school dances and trips, usually bringing his girlfriend along with him but still doing a good job.

"The big deal is my parents don't even let me go to school dances. Boys mixing with girls," Anabella replied.

"Uh HELLO what's Joey than?" I asked with a small giggle," Because he's no girl."

"Yeah they think Joey is harmless," Anabella said it so softly I almost didn't hear her.

"Hmmm well Joey is far from harmless now," I pointed out," But look here tell your parents A.) It's a chaperoned trip that Mr. Bennett is super responsible. B.) I'm going because they think I can influence you to be better. Done deal they will sign that permission slip tonight with this information," I promised her," Do you have the slip?"

"Okay so say they sign it, the cost?" she reminded me.

"It's only like 250 dollars and I have extra ski stuff you can borrow that I don't use so that way you won't have to have them spend extra money for ski stuff like winter ski clothes and like I said I have the extra skis and poles. You have winter clothes intact this is Boston, I can lend you my extra ski suite and we'll be set! Mine's Purple and White, the extra one is Pink and White," I said to her," Go ask them!"

"Now?" she whispered startled.

"YES! GO!" I ordered," It'll be fun!"

Anabella got up and went downstairs, while I was dying to find out what her parents were going to say I decided to give them the space they would need to discuss this. I decided to complete the final assignment while Ana was talking to her parents about the ski trip.

Joey's Pov

I was sitting on my bed finishing the last of my homework, it was after dinner. Mom had specifically reminded me that I was NOT allowed to call Ana Banana until after all the homework was done. Even with it being Winter Break, we had several last minute homework assignments and would still have to study for finals. I had finished every last question on the final assignment that was due after break. I glanced at the clock and wondered if Anabella had asked her parents yet about the ski trip.

The door to the bedroom opened and my older brother Tommy came in," Hey kid," he said," Mom says if you've finished all your homework you can call your little girlfriend to make kissy faces."
