UGH. We lost them! And now we're aimlessly driving around.

All because of a turtle. 🐢

We were just behind her... And suddenly she made a sharp turn and I had to pull the brakes.

We were about 50 m apart on the empty road.
I was about to start speeding when this turtle decided to give all of us a heart attack by walking by.

And we had to wait for 5min.
We lost her.

ARGH!! How are we gonna find her now?

Riker got out of the car and walked towards me.

"Don't worry. We'll find her." He smiled.

I got out of the car.

"What if we don't? I can never forgive myself if Nat gets hurt."

"NAT?" Rydel said, eyes widened.

"I mean- Both Nat and Laura. I love them both. I-I... Just want them to be fine."

"U still like Nat?"

"N-No!! We're best friends...Yup. That's it."

"Really Ross? Ask yourse-" Rocky started when we heard a bloodcurdling scream.

"Drive Drive Drive." I pushed them out of the way and put the car in drive.

Ell screamed," We're talking about this later!!"

But I didn't care. Cause I know she's near.

We finally got to the area where the scream came from.

It's a house.

I went up and decided to kick down the door.

Rydel laughed. Ya haha I'm Jackie Chan.

I expected to see Nat... But no... It's Grace. Kneeling on the floor, back bent, face covered by her hair.

"I don't have any money for you!! Please don't hurt my child!"

I sighed. She looks so innocent. Just trying to protect her kid.

I bent down and patted her back," I'm not going to hurt you."

She looked up. "You're Ross right?"

I nodded.

"I'm sorry."

"....is it because of your family?"

"Maybe."

".....why did you do that?"

"I wish I didn't need to. But I really have no choice."

"Financial problems?"

"Mm Hm. My... Boyfriend dumped me after I was pregnant with his child. I-I hadn't finished high school. I needed to stop cause of her... And I can't continue. Who wants to hire a girl with no High school cert?
My parents kicked my out. They don't even want to acknowledge me now. She's my only family."

I embraced her in a hug.

"I'm sorry, I must be really tough for you. All alone... I mean- although my best friend is missing.... Nevermind."

"Oh." She looked down.

"Hm Mm. She's missing."

"I mean- why would ANYONE do that to her?" I prompted.
