Chapter 40: Final Chapter

Ross's POV

What. That means.... She's been holding it in for 8 months now. :\

"L- Why didn't you tell me?" I asked.

"I wanted to, but I saw that you were so happy her and I... I thought that I could get over it." She sighed.

She continued," 8 months. Those damn 8 months. The depression. I wanted to tell you so bad. But even after she left you did everything because of her, EVERYTHING!" She kicked a chair off.

The temperature in the room rose significantly.

"B-But..." Nat stuttered.

"I mean you went to Australia because you didn't want to disappoint her. You were falling back for her even after we kissed!! She HAD to take you away from me when I finally had you!" I screamed out of frustration.

"Take me away?!? What am I a toy?" I gritted my teeth.

"N-No I mean... I just... Love you." She stared into my eyes, those chocolate brown eyes. Their beautiful.

"Well that doesn't mean that you should do this to her, remember Laura? She's your best friend for crying out loud!! You do everything together, she helped you when you were getting bullied. And you do this to her?!" I bellowed.

"We WERE."

"W-Why do y-you ha-hate me so m-m-much?" Nat cut me off

Laura turned to her,"Why? oh I'll tell you why. You're pretty, kind, smart, gentle yet fierce, you're talented, you're successful. And you have... Him. Do you know how difficult is it to support you when you're getting all these accolades and rewards for being perfect?"

"No one's perfect."

"Except for you! I'm sick and tired of staying in your shadow!!"

"But she did nothing wrong. Why punish her?" I retaliated.

"Look, Laura, my feelings for Nat will never go away.She changed me. But those feelings are... Complicated now. All I know is that I'm not crushing on her again." I continued.

"Nat is a sweet girl. She helped me with I needed help, even after our breakup. I can't just ignore her after we broke up. Because no matter want, we're gonna be best friends, she never intended to affect our relationship. What relationship it is by the way. She helped me decided to take you out, she help set up the date. Can't you understand that she's been trying to help?" I spoke softly.

"I-" Laura trailed off, her eyes widened and she started to blink rapidly for about 3 seconds and stopped

"Well it d-doesn't matter anyway! You still like her, don't you??"

I looked to Nat, who looks just as shocked as I probably am.Although she's hurt, and literally dying, you can tell she still treats Laura like a bestie. Another thing I love about-
