Lies

I was terrified. Not of the power outage, but of what it meant. It was probably the worst thing to ever happen to me. I mean, this was worse than losing The Doctor. Losing him just sorta happened. It was a thing, but this was years later, and they had gotten my hopes up for me to see him again. This outage was taking that built-up hope and ripping it to shreds. As long as I had made it to my home universe, I'd have The TARDIS and The Doctor to fix any injuries, right?

"IANTO, WHAT IN BLOODY HELL HAPPENED?" I yelled.

" I think, we just burned out all of Cardiff."

"You mean, all the power?"

"Yeah, Rose, we knew the machine might've done this. Though it was highly unlikely..." Gwen took her chance to chime in.

Theu knew that it could've done that?!

"YOU KNEW?"

"Well..."

Owen I do not need you to be such an awkward shit face right now.

I finally broke. I was in tears, screaming at them, "I have FINALLY let you help me, I even trusted you guys, and you let me down. Why didn't you tell me this? You know what, doesn't matter. I'm done. You got my hopes up for nothing, and if the stupid thing was going to work, then it would've already."

I ran out, bawling, and I fell down right outside my car. I layed there, maybe for hours, maybe for seconds, but I stayed still, bawling and thinking, my thoughts racing so fast.

What if he doesn't want you there anyway?

What if he regenerated?

What if he's the one who stopped it from working?

What if he didn't love me, and that wasn't what he was going to say?

What if he hates me by now for leaving him alone?....

It was endless, and I finally got up and got into my car. As I was driving away, I heard Owen calling after, "Rose, stop and come back here. Rose......"

I drove away from him and everyone else there. I didn't know where I was going, but I knew I would just drive for now. Leave behind Torchwood; leave behind my home universe; leave behind my thoughts; and leave behind my last hope.
