'...That you Gaara?'

Sasuke's POV

At the party I took the place of Aniki...or at least tried to. All the guests smiling their fake smiles at me and offering their daughters to try and get the companies to merge. Aniki had to go through this at every party. Being the heir to the Uchiha company and all he got many deals from the rival company families. They always shoved at him all the daughters they could, but he always calmly turned them down.

Since none of them got Aniki to date their daughters they are now trying to get me. A woman is talking to me now with her daughter by her side. The girl is very shy and obviously doesn't want to be there. She stood their with her head bowed, hair covering her face.

"I'm sorry to be so rude, but could you please excuse me." I need to go get some air. My suit is too constricting.

"Oh, yes, of course!" the women smiled at me and laughed,"We enjoyed chatting with you. Thank Uchiha-kun."

"T-thank you." she stuttered. As she walked away with her mother I saw her wince at the harsh grip on her arm. I could tell the mother was mad as she said something to make Hinata cry.

I walked out onto a balcony that overlooked the night sky and the city lights. Mikio is probably putting his daughter to bed or something. My phone rang..or meowed. My ring tone is my cat meowing. I took my phone out of my pocket and saw that Aniki was calling me.

"Hello, Otoutou."

"Hi, Aniki. How's school."

"Shouldn't I be the one asking you that?" he laughed,"School is fine. How are you?"

"..Good." I answer.

"...Truly?"

"No."

"What's wrong?"

I thought for a moment,"Society."

"Our society has always been wrong. What's made my Otoutou sad?"

"I just...I want to curl up, sleep, and not wake up for a while." I held a hand over my eyes and sighed.

"Where are you right now."

"At a social gathering."

"It'll be over soon. Just try not to think too hard and it will feel better."

"Okay, I'll try."

"...Have you figured out which college you want to go to?"

Aniki talked small talk with me until I felt better.

"I have to go now. I think I've been out here to long."

"Alright, Otoutou. Good night."

"Night, Aniki." I hung up and switched my phone to silent before putting it back into my pocket. I walked back into the party and went to my mom.

"Are you enjoying the party, Sasuke-kun?" she smiled, the corners of her mouth slightly wrinkled from smiling and laughing all the time.

"Yeah."

"Why don't you go and talk to one of the pretty girls, maybe one of them will want to dance."

"Eh, okay, Okasan." I walked over to Neji,"May I have this dance, my lady." I asked in English.

"Sasuke!" she hit my arm and I smirked.

"What? Neji's pretty."

She rolled her eyes,"I'll let you speak with your friends but afterwords we are going to meet Kouda-san."
