'Would it be alright if I went?'

Naruto's POV

School is over and I'm walking towards the front gate. I see Hidan with one earbud in, wording the lyrics of a song and tapping his fingers to the beat.

A lot of people don't like or are scared of Hidan. It makes sense since he's a bit rebellious and knows how to fight. I guess since he helped me out and I got to know him a bit I don't feel the same way. It's like I'm the only one in the school that knows Hidan isn't a bad guy.

I walk up to him and he looks towards me with a smile,"Hey, brat, let's go." He takes his earbud out and looks at his phone as he starts walking down the street. I fiddle with the frog keychain on my bag as I follow him,"So there was this cafe I wanted to go to. It's only a few blocks away from Kaguya station." He shows his phone screen to me and I see directions to Nami Cafe. He pulls his phone back and goes into a different app before typing,"They have this sundae called the tsunami. It's suppose to have this glaze that's hella sour and berry flavoured."

Hidan goes on to talk about other things the cafe has on its menu and talks about other places he's gone to eat by himself and presumably his boyfriend. I make sure to make agreeing noises and nods at the appropriate times.

"So the hell you do after school?"

"Uh, I'm on the baseball team."

"You got any games coming up?"

"Yeah, on Saturday."

"Is it at our school?"

"Yeah, we're up against Senju high."

Hidan walks us into the station before asking,"Would it be alright if I went?"

"Of course. If you want to come watch that's fine."

"I didn't have a damn thing to do anyway. The bastard has to work late this weekend too. Wait..." He pauses in his steps and look towards me,"Do you have money? It's alright if you don't I can pay at the cafe."

"Oh, you don't have to-"

"It's fine, brat. The bastard's fuckin' loaded. Plus I kinda dragged you with me without telling you where we we're going till the last second."

"It's okay. The cafe isn't really far and that sundae sounds cool."

"Right?" he agreed with me and we scanned our train passes as we walked through the gate. We got to our train line, waiting for it to arrive,"I wanted the bastard to go with me since the sundae is too fucking big for one person but you're goin' with me so it all worked out." Our train arrives and we wait for people to get off before getting on,"Cramped as hell as always."

We end up at the door. My back is to it and Hidan is facing me...I don't know if it's just me but this feels awkward. I hike my bag higher on my shoulder and look down at my feet.

"Hey." Hidan whispers.

"Y-yeah?" I jump and look up at him.

He has one earbud in and is twirling the other between his fingers,"I have some songs from this hella good alternative rock band. Wanna listen?"

"Sure." he hands the earbud to me and I put it in. Hidan plays the first song and looks out the window. The music helps pass the time riding in the metro. Our train sways while turning and Hidan ends up squished by the other passengers and pushed against me. He quickly pushes away from me but can't go far with the amount of people.

"Sorry, you alright?" He looks down at me with his hand in a fist placed over my head on the door. He tries to be considerate and keep some space between us but this train is overcrowded and he's so close I can feel his body heat escaping his undershirt and open uniform jacket. Hidan always wears his jacket open and has his necklace on. I just never noticed how his shirt was tighter in some places and that his pants rode low on his hips-
