PROMPTS USED:

- "I want to go home"

"And I want to go to the moon. It ain't happening sweetheart. Time to accept that."

It's been a few days since Jungkook was brought into the custody of the one and only Kim Taehyung.

During the time he's been here, there's been a lot of talks about how he is the key to some kind of "master plan" in the halls. He hasn't been able to get much detail on the topic, and he doesn't want to anyway. The more he knows, the less merciful his death will be.

He's met a few of Tae's henchmen in this period as well. The first was Jimin, a short male with rainbow highlights on blonde hair. He seemed to have a thing for style since he looked like a walking talking mannequin, for which he explained that he was a fashion stylist. When the two of them first met, the older did seem pretty angry about the fact that he escaped using a makeshift rope on his watch but after finding out that both of them are from Busan, things cooled down a bit.

The next person that he met was Jin. It was an uncanny encounter in the kitchens which Jungkook had stumbled upon when he got hungry a bit late at night. Seokjin seemed to be experimenting with some food and was kind enough to give him a full plate. Seeing that he barely ate more than a meal, Seokjin wasn't surprised that the cherry head was asking for thirds.

"What?" Jungkook asked with his mouth full as he looked up from his plate.

"Nothing, it's just..." Seokjin trailed off.

"You're thinking as to why I eat so much in one sitting right?"

"I-I wasn't..."

"Chill man, I won't get mad at you, don't worry. If you must know, as a street artist, I don't get enough money so I'll have to put in whatever I get into cheap convenience store food."

"I-I'm so sorry," he said as he hung his head a bit low.

"Don't be. It's not your fault that my life turned out this way."

From that day, Seokjin made sure that he had special servings for the younger's late-night snacks.

Yoongi however, was someone that Jungkook had never expected to meet.

After three days of staying in his room and only exploring the halls at night, Jungkook had actually mustered some courage to start wandering in the daytime. He decided that it was only fitting to start exploring the halls during daybreak cause there are fewer chances of being clumsy and tripping on the stairs.

Yoongi however, had just pulled an allnighter in the computer room with a burger, fries, and some brandy to keep him awake. After working out logistics with the cameras and security all night, the best thing that was in his line of vision was a couch on the lounge. Dark locks had been splayed over his eyes as he dozed off on the comfy cushions when Jungkook saw him. Since he looked like someone who wasn't to be messed with, Jungkook sat down right next to him and had dozed off with his head on Yoongi's shoulder.

And that wasn't a sight that Yoongi was used to.

Waking up from his nap, the first thing he felt was some kind of weight on his shoulder. Turning ever so slightly, he saw a young boy with cherry red hair pouting in his sleep. For the first time in a while, Yoongi gave one of his gummy smiles as he placed the younger's head on his lap, soothing him to sleep for a bit longer. And as for Jungkook, that actually was one of the very few times that he had something called good sleep.

Above all of this, he hasn't seen Taehyung ever since the first evening.

As always, he started on his routine just like he did for every day he spent in this place. He would wake up, do his skincare routine, pick out a pair of comfy clothes from the wardrobe that seemed to be filled with a lot of them, wander around a bit in the halls and come back to his room. He'd mostly wander off to the kitchens whenever he got hungry, which also meant that he never had the chance to even go to the dining room for meals. It was a rinse and repeat situation that he followed because deep down he knew, the less he sees, the better.

But today, there was something different about this routine.

He was dressed in a black hoodie and sweats; ready to go see the outskirts of the forest when all of a sudden Jimin had walked in and announced that Taehyung had wanted to see him.

"I didn't do anything wrong did I?" Jungkook asked the rainbow-haired as they walked down the hall.

"We're having a meeting and for some reason, he wants you there. For what reason, I do not know," Jimin replied as he stopped in front of two big wooden doors.

"Well come on, it's your first time. Open them."

"I'm sorry, what?"

"The doors. What are you waiting for? For me to say 'open sesame' or something?" he joked. The younger just blankly stared back at him.

"Alright, jeez I thought you like dramatic stuff," Jimin retorted, as he opened them himself.

"Ah if it isn't for the cherry boy. I hope our services are up to standard," Taehyung said with his usual sinister smile.

For some reason, Jungkook couldn't help but stare at him for a few seconds. The ravenette was in his usual black clothing, but this time, his short sleeves showed something a bit more - biceps. Biceps that would make Jungkook shake in the knees if he ever got to see them flex.

Fortunately, he did have the pleasure of glancing at them only for a second before someone else called him.

"Hey, redhead. Wanna come a bit closer to the table so that we can actually start this meeting?" Jimin questioned as Jungkook just shook his head.

"I see that you got a bit shy back there. You seemed to be enjoying the view," Taehyung whispered in his ear.

"Shut up," Jungkook whispered back as a faint blush appeared on his cheeks matching the same shade as his hair. "Besides, I want to go home," he said a bit louder.

"And I want to go to the moon but it's not happening sweetheart, time to accept that," Taehyung said with a grin.

But although Jungkook had promised himself that he wouldn't fall for that sinister smile, he just couldn't help but feel a bit squeamish inside as he stared at Taehyung's jawline; reflecting on their small interaction that just happened sometime earlier.

"Okay now that everyone is here, let's get started," Taehyung ordered as he clapped his hands. "Right Namjoon, present your report please."

A man with his hair deeply parted to showcase his forehead stepped forward. "So as V had pointed out, we're going to have a three-phase plan that would require extremely precise execution. And for this, we'll need Jungkook here," he said as he pointed to him, "as our key."

"V doesn't have a full-time job and a normal life in the outside world unlike the rest of us who are employed one way or the other. As this is going to happen on a weekday on the streets when he won't be spotted, we'll need a second person to cover for him during the task, as well as one of our field agents who will be interacting with the target. If all goes well, then Taehyung will successfully be able to assassinate our client who is connected with our target. Once we have the needed information with no form of evidence whatsoever, we move on to phase two."

"Phase two is simple, once our client hands us the information that we need, we'll need one of the target's men to discuss events about a gala to Seokjin. And using him as bait, we will be getting information on our target's location at the gala which is phase three. We nab him there and bingo, with proper evidence, V gets his name cleared and voila, he's a free man," Namjoon said with a small smile. "Now any questions?"

Jungkook raised his hand nervously. "Yes, Jungkook," Namjoon replied.

"Why am I the key to this mission, like where do I fit in all of this?"

"Cain had some information on you. Said that you were related to the target somehow but I don't know how, because I killed him before that. I was planning to only lure you for the final phase, but after I read your file and knew of your occupation as a street artist, I needed your services as a field agent," Taehyung answered.

"Don't you have, I don't know, three of those already?"

"You know how street people act. You know what they want to see, what gets their attention, what slips under their gaze. I need analytical info like that to precisely assassinate my target."

"So you want me to lure your target to you?"

"No, I want you to cover for me as I do the job sweetheart," he said with a grin.
